It was almost comical

For a very young audience, maybe? Initially started somewhat ok. Two characters really stand out:

You have the tall, skinny, misunderstood nice guy that you root for and 2nd is the nice club leader who seems to have a backbone and more personality than any other females in the show.
Then, they drop the ball.

This show pretty much falls short after all the initial ...

This show pretty much falls short after all the initial mystery of the "Sacred Seven." Due to low quality story and lack of character development, it becomes a very forgetable show.

I mostly wanted to watch this anime since I had a membership and wanted to watch something short. So I stumbled upon this anime. It seemed a bit interesting when I read it over so I decided to watch it. It's about a high school boy who is confronted by a girl who looks like she is in middle school and her butler. They say he has some sacred power and she can unlock it. He didn't believe them at first of course who would. Though deep down he knew she was right because of what happened in the past (you'll find out). So the story goes on to tell about his adventures and I'm not a fan of mecha type things but this anime was interesting to say the least. It had very few twists but a pretty well put plot. I won't dwell on it to much since I don't want to spoil it for you.

Characters 3/5 Stars

They could have been put together a bit better on some instances and again, childish. I would have loved to see the main girl a bit more.. mature looking if she was going to be involved with the main high school boy. I liked how they put back stories to a few other key players in the anime, that is always good. I do wish they all had more different personalities. All the games seemed almost the same and it was the same problem with the girls.

Music 3/5 Stars

I actually tried to pay attention to the music. It was pretty good, nothing epic or amazing but it didn't make me hate the anime. So Kudos

Animation 4/5 Stars

The animation was pretty good, great shading, coloring. Loved all of their hair. That is always a great thing in the anime, if you've got greatly drawn hair it tends to be a better anime. I don't know, just rambling. I don't like how it was a bit childish but had an adult theme. I wish they all looked their age.

Don't be fooled by the moe girls!

Okay so the girls are moekko...usually this signifies a somewhat childlike version of a story to me and I can't get past the third episode (you've always got to try through the third). A good tale about what everyone believes is a BAAad boy who turns out to have a tragic past and goes on to redeem himself. Enjoyable with cute characters. Will watch if there is a second season.

love the plot *!!!!!

i never imagined watching this, but when i did it was awesome. i love the plot , but i just wish the show was longer. i love the developing relationship between tandoji and ruri. anybody who has doubts about this show should push away the doubts and watch this anime. its very good!!!!!

Flashy fight scenes, but little else.

A high action show. The animation, character, and "suit" designs are the highlight. I usually don't pay attention to battle sequences unless they involve hand to hand or swords. But the fighting here was extremely well done, even flashy sometimes. It made for edge of your seat moments. The characters are all scrubbed clean looking, even Naito the "dark horse" if you will. The females tend to look ...

But the fighting here was extremely well done, even flashy sometimes. It made for edge of your seat moments. The characters are all scrubbed clean looking, even Naito the "dark horse" if you will. The females tend to look way younger than their actual age, but that's a small nit pick. Plus, the "suits", are all unique looking, lending a different feel to each character. Now for the real reason this show doesn't deserve a higher rating. While the action is intense, when the story slows down and tries to "tell" something...it sucks. For example, the whole Ruri/Alma romance felt forced and contrived. The writers made the assumption that because they were connected by stones

Ruri and Alma would be together.
Because of that, they barely bothered to develop their relationship. To me, it just seemed as if Ruri had a fan girl crush on Tandoji and he merely

And that's just one example. A lot of the cast failed to be developed anymore than the usual sentiments. Like Naito and how at the end, he was

That bugs me. He should have had the option whether remain as he was, or not. Therefore did his character change

Sacred Seven is a story biased on a boy who lives a lonely life, due to an incident he caused to others during his middle school years. He is considered a delinquent and everyone in school avoids him. One day staying at home alone as usually, he gets a knock on the door by a short girl and her butler saying she needs his power. Even though he refuses them, he seems to not be able to avoid what is happening around him with creatures appearing out of nowhere trying to destroy the town he lives in. He decides to help to stop the creatures in order to get better control of his powers and avoid going berserk. The short girl seems to be an acquaintance to the boy from his childhood years, but cannot remember who she is. He learns more about the people who want his help, people who have powers like him, and people who want to make his powers for themselves. It is a typical story about a boy who has powers he cannot control without others help, a mysterious girl from his past he met a long time ago, an organization controled by a sinister person aiming to have those incredible powers, and the emotional and physical impact of having those powers as well. If you enjoy these elements in a story, you will enjoy this show.

Not tolong, not to short

Sacred Seven starts of awesome and keeps a moderate pace gong the whole way. For fans it breaks up the monotany of other anime and just when its getting awesome it ends. But that's what great about Scacred Seven it ends on a high point and doesn't keep you guessing with gut wrenching suspense. Anymore one looking for somthing new should give it a watch.

The problem with reviews on an anime-website is that almost all of the reviews are biased. Lots of 5-star reviews for everything. When I try to decide which series I'll watch next, those type of reviews are useless. I'll try to be more realistic.

The problem with reviews on an anime-website is that almost all of the reviews are biased. Lots of 5-star reviews for everything. When I try to decide which series I'll watch next, those type of reviews are useless. I'll try to be more realistic.

Boy meets girl who unlocks his special powers and together they fight a magical hidden enemy, usually without anyone around them noticing while dealing with budding romance and high school. It seems specific, but it is a really, really, really often replayed plot device in anime. Linebarrels of Iron, Inuyasha, Bleach, Code Geass, the list goes on (BTW, ALL of those shows are better). This is a cut-and-paste anime thrown together to fill a time slot. It isn't terrible, but it is certainly nothing special. Music is OK, animation is OK, Character design is OK, but there is basically no character development even by a short series' standard. It has a few adult-ish themes (like murdered family) but then has the most ridiculous enemies, costumes and situations. The show doesn't know who its' audience is or what type of show its suppose to be. It is the bastard child of Guyver and the Power Rangers. If you're looking to watch some good anime, start elsewhere. If you've watched everything else this is an OK time waster, but nothing special.

Honestly everything about this anime was fantastic. i watched the first episode with hesation but am so glad i did each episode gets better then the last! the music thru the entire season really works well with the story and the characters. its not to short or to long either. i highly recomend this to anyone looking for a fun new anime to watch :)!!! you wont be disappointed :)!!! so stop reading ...

A Surprisingly Solid Anime

To be honest, when I first saw the maids (no spoilers, watch and you'll see), I wasn't expecting much; however, in an epic lesson in not judging books by their cover, Sacred Seven proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable and action filled series. To be honest, when I first saw the maids (no spoilers, watch and you'll see), I wasn't expecting much; however, in an epic lesson in not judging books by their cover, Sacred Seven proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable and action filled series. Fight scenes were well done, and frequent enough to maintain interest, but not so often as to be monotonous. Character development was excellent and complete without turning the series into a drama, and while not perfect, the animation is very good. Music was somewhat generic for the genre, nothing exceptional, but certainly not a dealbreaker.

I have only one complaint regarding this series - its short. I do not say that to be cute, I'm quite serious. It takes several episodes before one can really grasp the full story line - in fact, for the first few episodes, I would recommend you just note details for later and enjoy the ride. For a longer series, this can be a great way to start off, but for only one season of 12 episodes, it's a slow start, and as a result, the ending (without ruining anything) feels rushed, and leaves the viewer feeling a certain lack of closure. Personally, I hope this is due to the author intending another season in the future, but have heard nothing either way.

Overall, a surprisingly great series with an abrupt, though nonetheless great, ending.
