    Don't waste your time...
I've followed the original Saint Seiya until the end, then I went on and read the manga, then I watched Lost Canvas, so I have my experience with this franchise.
I didn't have very high expectations about this show, but even then this is a complete disappointment; the story makes absolutely no sense, the main evil guy is called Mars (it is supposed to be called ARES, this IS NOT Roman mythology), ...

Not exactly Saint Seiya....but still a lot of fun
This show feels very different to the original Saint Seiya. It is lighter in many ways: animation, comedy, story line, character design, etc. And unlike the original heroes, these characters have motivations different from only protecting Athena (in fact, most of them don't even know her in person...she is only a concept). As stated in another review, this show is different, but still a lot of ...

    This, instead of Lost canvas?
Let me say i was horribly disappointed that the lost canvas was cut short at 26 episodes but this P.O.S get 97 so far? what is going on with anime these days it seems like anything worthwhile gets cut short. the art in Omega is BAD!!! the sorty line is baaaad! everything just falls so short i can't believe it.

Well.....It's not the Saint Seiya we wanted....
Now this will have spoilers before I get into it. This show albeit including the name and characters of Saint Seiya I don't believe lives up to being a sequel.
So before the review I recommend watching the original Saint Seiya no matter what. It will affect your viewpoint dramatically as you see this anime. I first watched Lost Canvas and was immediately enthralled by Saint Seiya and when I saw ...

    The Message of Friendship.
After watching all the original series, the action and the fights in this series are not as powerful and I feel they are cut short. Although it is something it lacks, the message that this show gave me as a child and teen is what is most important. A message of truth, hope, and friendship. That is what truly always gave the chills with Saint Seiya and I clearly see that this important message is ...

Do NOT Watch Past ep 51
I loved the plot and every single battle scene (the equipping of the cloth was a bit overly dramatic). I liked how it showed that the will of the protagonists could overcome obstacles except for at the end of the show where they fight the Gold Saints where they got over broken bones. But after episode 51 it became to much like power rangers for my taste the equipping of the cloth took 1.5x more ...

    Good but could be better...
Animation is good, but could have benefited from a deeper character development. Most fights have become predictable (no tactics or revelations just a sudden "I can do it!" feeling and done...), Still waiting on Ikki to save the day!!!!

    Saint Seiya Review..
The episode never really tries to hide from the fact that it’s this old shounen-style when it was all about brats turning into men. You have the exaggerated speech and the characters talk on and on about their power instead of just fighting each other. On that level the series is clearly setting the stage and you know what kind of crap you’ll get to see in this series.

    A great little show.
Although its out of this "world" I really like this show. It's good against evil and the Saints are the good guys (as it should be)

This show, as my review of "Kids on the Slope" mentions: the writers make you care about the characters. Its an excellent show.

  • Too much of everything, lack in texture.
First of all, don't want to overly comment on the artwork & anime style, as this can be a very preferential opinion. But personally, I don't really like the clothes' design in general, every suits have too much going on, way too flashy and losing the elegance from the original series and from the Lost Canvas series.

In terms of the story development, I can see how the storyline trying to create ...
