    Saki :: An anime that won't dissapoint you.
    Miyanaga Saki is a high school freshman who doesn’t like mahjong. Ever since she was a child, she would lose her New Year’s gift money during her family mahjong game. If she won, her parents would be upset, and if she lost, well, she lost. As a result, she’s learned to play in such a way that her score always remains plus/minus zero: not good enough to win, but not bad enough to lose. When we meet ...

    Saki: A Very Good Anime
    I find this anime quite cute with the variety of characters. Each of them have a differnt personality and playing style, making this game of Mah Jong intresting.Although I sometimes don't know whats going on with the game. Its a all around good anime with drama, action, and a bit of magic thrown in.

    It's no Chihayafuru.
    Did a pervert write this? It's written like a kids anime so why all the ass shots and boob nonsense? And, not that I have a problem with lesbians, but the amount of lesbian like behavior and lack of male roles furthers my opinion that this was written by a pervert. Other than that...it was mostly enjoyable, however, I found the introduction of supernatural crap in the second season very annoying ...

    From the very first episode, I'm always sucked into the fun and excitement!
    This review is only for the first season of Saki. I've come back to this series numerous times already and it's been way too long since I last watched it. I remember about 2-3 years back when Saki was first being uploaded to CR and they were doing some promo thing where you watch an episode and collect mahjong tiles. I didn't watch anime as much at that time anymore but this anime really sucked me ...

    Saki = Blew My Mind!
    Even though I'm still learning the basics of mahjong, Saki manages to help me out and amaze me at the same time. Apparently, I don't have godly powers and I'm not "loved by the tiles", but hey, that's what makes this show very entertaining! I really like how they switch the POV to Saki's opponents so you understand their stories and end up liking every one of her and her team's opponents, despite ...

    No Chihaya but decent enough
    I came to this anime looking for something like Chihayafuru. It's been very interesting to learn about mahjong and the show was interesting enough in its way... but it felt like fan service the whole time. Someone is sad? A shot of their trembling thighs! Someone is happy? A shot of their trembling thighs! And poor Nadoka really didn't need to have such a large bust - in fact, the first two times ...

    This was OK, but not great.
    This anime wasn't all that great, in my opinion.

    In most animes where the goal is "aim for nationals", the main character at least has some skill, and tries to improve it. In Eyeshield 21, for example, Sena has good running speed and works to develop it. In The Prince of Tennis, all the characters are constantly getting better moves even though they already HAVE special moves. In Slam Dunk, ...
