    Awesomely Awesome Mohjong Anime :]
This anime is about mohjong; a game so confusing no one gets how to play it, but in the anime they make you wanna learn :[] So basiclly its about all girls and one guy who isn't important. Saki the main character pawns at Mohjong and want to get to nationals to see her sister, whom is questionable. . . anyways this anime makes Mohjong like so special effects stuff and it looks so cool >o< If you ...

Saki :: An anime that won't dissapoint you.
Miyanaga Saki is a high school freshman who doesn’t like mahjong. Ever since she was a child, she would lose her New Year’s gift money during her family mahjong game. If she won, her parents would be upset, and if she lost, well, she lost. As a result, she’s learned to play in such a way that her score always remains plus/minus zero: not good enough to win, but not bad enough to lose. When we meet ...

    Saki - Episode 1 - Encounter
the first episode is usually what tells me if the anime i watch is worth going to the second episode. i will definitely be watching the second episode. i thought that the story line was well thought out; especially for the first episode (really got me going). the two main characters were also another factor in making this a good first episode; as well as the supporting characters. all in all; ...

My review for this great anime Saki
I like the anime a great deal. Makes me want to play the Japanese Mahjong they play in it. The only Mahjong I have every played was Mahjong Solitare, where you match tiles. Anyway i like the anime and i think the relationships between many of the female characters is cute. I don't believe the anime is meant to be romantic yuri (girl/girl romance) Well maybe a bit, but nothing beyond what they are ...

  • Saki,a truly interesting tournament anime!
I never really noticed Saki till about 20 episodes had been released. The mild yuri(lesbianism or shoujo ai) feeling that it shown made me shun away at first. But after I watched the first episode,I came craving for more.I might not know what mahjong is truly about, but I do know that this anime is a 100 percent must watch.Though it would be nice if some romance was added in it.

    Overall,this would ...

  • Very interesting Anime!!!
At first I didn't like this anime that much and stopped watching it, but after I watched it again, I found myself enthralled in it, despite the fact that I'm not a fan of shoujo-ai that much. But this anime had caused me to learn mahjong and discover how fun it would to play. So overall, it was an exellent anime.

    An anime of surprises?
Before I begin, I should probably say this: After a little bit of contemplation, I believe that this anime is shoujo-ai (ie: mild yuri). For those homophobics, this is not the show for you. Nevertheless, if you are on the fence about watching this anime and don't mind watching girls blush when they're together, I would recommend you give it a go.

In a nutshell: this series is about a group of ...
