Really good, not perfect, but very sweet and enjoyable
As much as I really enjoyed Say "I love you," I'm having trouble picking out what makes it stand out. It's an anime full of played-out ideas and character archetypes. Why, then, did I enjoy it? Well, the thing is that, even though nothing here is particularly new or unique, just about every part of the show is done very well. The characters are well-defined (even if the only way to tell the ...

what I though about Say "I love you"
I loved the anime it had happy, sad, romantic and even angry moments. And I just loved it.
I really hope they make a season 2 because I really enjoyed it.
And recommend this to anyone that likes romantic anime.

the reason I give it four stars is because I think it could of had more episodes but other than that I think it was great

A surprisingly nuanced look at young love
Though there are certainly moments of awkward loner wish fulfillment in this series, the overall story is quite complex and interesting. The characters all grow and change over the course of the story. Characters' positions in the story (hero, villain, friend, foe, foil, etc) are mutable as befits a teen drama.

    Well worth a watch.

Best slice-of-life-romance pie I've seen in a while!
I've never wanted a series to continue so badly in all my life! I was expecting the ending to be grand and the most romantic scene yet, but it was just something simple. I suppose that isn't so bad... This was so much like real life. I've teared up throughout the anime. I love Mei and Yamato's relationship so much. He's gotten her to become much more outgoing, and Mei has taught him that true love ...

    "Inspiring, and down to Earth"
I must admit the story in itself is rather typical, however, the way it was written and adopted into an anime is a labor of love,—from the cheesy title, which actually put me off at first, and yet, as soon as I watched the first episode... I was hooked. "Inspiring and down to Earth," I thought it was. The author have succeeded to project her feelings and capture the heart of her audience with ...

    Great, but unfinished
I haven't seen enough other romance anime to compare, but this one does a good job of instilling the wavering feelings of a blooming first love. I was worried at first that the characters would end up too cliche or archetypal, but it was set up well.

The ending was a letdown though. The anime follows the manga through volume 7, then takes a departure for the last episode. Unfortunately this ...

Say "I love you" review by RUA
Ok, so generally I thought this was your pretty generic romance show, outcast girl meets popular guy then sunshine and rainbows. Which it was. But it had a little more than just that, it felt more real than any other "dramatic" romance shows out there (I put quotations around dramatic because... let's be honest... it's not it's the most suspenseful show out there, you can pretty much guess what's ...

This anime is amazing. One of my favorites. Honestly even though I know its for girls and stuff i think that anyone with a kind heart can be touched by this. The characters all seem to get put into one another like a beautiful puzzle to make this anime great.

    It's Shojo Excelsior!
This is probably one of the best anime I've ever seen. Well written, characters you can believe in, situations that are ripped straight out of our own experience, this anime has it all. You find yourself cheering for Mei and Yamato in every episode.
The incidental music is sensitively composed with the scenes in mind; one is left with the impression that the composer paid close attention to the ...
