Over used plot devices, self-inserts, cliches, blaah.
If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing romance with a female protagonist you can smoothly self-insert to, you might enjoy this. I can definitely appreciate it for that. Don't expect to be impressed, however.

It's hard to get really into the anime because the main characters feel like cliche tropes or rather, oddly perfect. That might sound weird, but lemme explain - the protagonist is ...

  • I LOOOVED IT !!!!!!!
I absolutely loved this series. The major thing that sold it for me compared to other romance animes is the fact that you don't need to wait until the last episode for the characters to get together. Like with a lot of romance animes its just awkward tension and all that until the very end when the characters finally just confess, but in this show its a lot less building up to the relationship and ...

  • Brought me back to anime
This is a great series and really pushed me back into watching anime. Thank gosh I found crunchyroll because I was starting to run out of good stuff on Hulu.

The characters are sweet and it has that classic frustrating teen romance. Some adorable cats are thrown in the mix and everyone is happy.

    Cute anime, relatable characters
I really like this anime. I loved the characters, and found them relatable. I feel like the story was a bit of a stretch in some points (just to throw a wrench in how well things were going) but over all it was very enjoyable.

Great to just sit down and watch on a rainy day.

  • Amazing. i loved it.
this anime does nt do the justice it so badly deserves. the manga is a master piece. my number 1 anime bae Mei. love her. so kowaii. im as staright as can be and even as a guy i loved it so much. the manga goes so much farther and actually shows the growth and development of tachibana san. from her hair to her nails. to the way she expresses her self. loved it.

  • A Sweeter version of Wolf Girl and Black Prince
This story has something to say. The underlying theme of this story is bullying, whether you're the one bullying, the one getting bullied or the one watching someone getting bullied. It's delivered as a love story and is done very well. I'm not a fan of syrupy romances but I did like this. Perhaps because the bullying aspect darkened it a bit. Also, although one of the main characters, Mei, is ...

  • Amazing Romance Anime
I sat down and turned on my laptop to watch some anime to pass the time. I said "Well, I feel like a good romance should do it." So I found Say "I Love You" and I didn't expect much. I was right, I expected a corny, he-meets-her-and-fall-in-love kind of plot. What I got, was something better. This anime right here, is something I can relate to, and many other people can too. I can safely ...

  • Say I love you!!!!!!
I gave this a 4 out of 5 because, all in all it was very good. I liked the contrast in their personalities.. But the 'social gap' didn't feel overdone. I enjoyed the art style and the progression of the characters. But, I prefer a little more comedy to break up my serious love stories and I felt that the last episode was unnecessary so that is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

  • Typical shojou...NOT!
It's your typical cute boy falling for average socially challenged girl. I found that it was predictable on many occasions and the male lead, though as hot as he is, didn't feel as deeply dynamic as the female counterpart. Along with that was the constant theme of leaving her alone and having her view change others for the better. At some point this grew to be quite annoying and a rocky start to ...
