Storyline:
The storyline is the weakest element of the series, because, just like other anime built around satire/pop culture references, this series is entirely episodic and has no plot whatsoever. However, this series does have stories, just one per episode and pretty much entirely character-driven... more like individual skits than an actual show. But it works pretty well for this show, but can't give it a very high score in this area due to the absence of an actual story.
Music:
I LOVE the theme song to this. It's so addictive, I listen to it almost everyday. The ending theme, though, is a bit forgettable, but it's still pretty good. Overall, the music is excellent. It's just one of those shows that, once you've heard the opening two or three times, the music easily gets stuck in your head.
Characters:
Like many other shows of this genre, the characters are what make the show so enjoyable. Each character has his/her own personality and makes fun of a particular subsection of characters in other shows. Their antics and interactions are very funny, and they are all lovable. The character designs are very cute and well thought-out. I have a feeling I will still recognize all of the characters if I rewatch this show a few years from now (which I most likely will). So, yes, you can tell I REALLY loved the characters, as well.
Animation:
The animation is beautiful, almost stunning, at least for a comedy show like this. Really can't find a lot of faults in it. 'Nuff said.
Overall:
If you like comedy shows, dive right in. You'll most likely not regret it. However, if you're looking for something with a central storyline or plot, you may not like it as much.
NOTE: Also, it's a big plus, but not a requirement, if you know at least a bit of other famous anime and manga series, because this show DOES make a lot of references to them.
