Full of clichés, bad example for relationships
I picked up this anime after reading the premise, and thought that a shonen-ai set in the world of shojo manga creation might be interesting. Well, I managed to watch it all the way to the end, if that counts for anything.

It's so full of standard yaoi tropes that they simply couldn't contain them all in only two characters. There are three main couples here, but they might as well all be the ...

    no longer a yaoi virgin!
    Holy crap. Canoli. Shiznits.

Literally, that's my limited speech reaction after finishing the 26 episodes at like 3:30 a.m. I'm still fairly new to anime, and I've definitely never been exposed to homosexual plots until this one.

It was so addicting, though. All the tall guys were just, well, to put it simply.......really freaking hot, my top ones would be Masamune Takano, Yoshiyuki ...

    Mediocre - Immature Characters
I like the concept of it revolving around the shoujo manga publishers, but... man, a lot of the characters are pretty unlikable at times. Especially Onodera. He comes to really ridiculous conclusions constantly and is wishy-washy to the point of being mean. I really do agree with Yokozawa, Onodera doesn't deserve Takano. He sends off all these signals that he's interested, but REFUSES to admit it ...

World's Greatest First Steps... Against Adversity
In America being gay is more acceptable than it was in the past; however people are far from actually being comfortable with the gay community being open with their relationships. This anime is a sweet endearing tale that I think could help others grow to really understand what it means to be gay. That aside in general this anime reveals different kinds of love and how confusing and embarrassing ...

Only four stars because of where it ended.
My god, if I could marry an anime, I would marry Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. I feel like an Otaku for saying this, but this is honest-to-god, probably my new favorite series. I've just finished all of what they have here and it's time to go read the manga for more yaoi-infused romcom! Would recommend for anyone who likes boy love and "tension + frustration = love" situations.

It does not just focus on the BL, but the story too.
Ahh, What an amazing series. I can't believe it had to end. Everything about this series is great. There three different couples it focuses on, being the following:
Ritsu and Takano: the main couple. Ritsu and Takano are Boss and Subordinate, neighbors, and even were each others' first love in the past. Ritsu is so jaded, that you will laugh very hard at some of his reactions. And Takano... well, ...

Probably the Only Yaoi on Crunchyroll and it's VERY good!
Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (full title: Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi: Ritsu no Baai which translates to: The World's Greatest First Love: Onodera Ritsu's Affair), the spin-off to anothr series known as Junjou Romantica (translates to Pure-Hearted Romance) both are done by Shunjiki Nakamura. Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (like Junjou Romantica) focuses on one couple as well as two side couples that one of them from each of ...

This is by far the cutest I've watched.
This is by far the cutest BL anime I've watched. I love how Shungiku Nakamura writes these stories. Especially how she made this story in line with Junjou Romantica's story line. It's gorgeous. If you're having doubt on this, dont. It's not graphic at all. Just lots of fluffy dokidoki action! You won't regret watching this!
