  • Kind-of-meh-but-still-good
For any yaoi fan this is probably for you. Absolutely. Understandable. The characters doesn't have much diversity - didn't expect too much either. Would've loved to see more of it though. The characters are stereotypical but we all know why they're like that - doesn't mean I like it though. It's fun to see but when seriously all the relationships are the same it gets kind of boring. The people ...

  • hm! how do I put this...
Ah well honestly this show wasn't anything that i'd watch a second time..... I tried really hard to put in my time and effort to try to appreciate this show and really understand it but honestly there's not much there. The show's definitely lacking a genuine plot. It would have held it's own if it had JUST been a show about working in the manga industry...

  • Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi rating
This was really good, I like how it even had references to Junou romantica. Junou romantica had three seasons and I know this was made in 2011 but a third season would be very great to have and I hope there will be one soon. I enjoyed this anime a lot.

  • Amazing! First time with this sort of show.
This is my first shounen ai. So far I am loving it. All I was looking for was a super mushy romance and it fulfilled it. The artwork is beautiful. My only negative was the constant back and forth regarding Onodera and Takano. I just wanted the love story to be fulfilled! But like I said, I love it so far.

  • One of the best in the genre
Still a in my top 3 favorites in the last few years. Hoping they bring out a third season. The relationship focusing on Takano and Onerdera is probably the best out out of the other characters. They did an awesome treat for fans in giving these characters a cameo in Junjou Romantica Season 3.

  • Why only 4.7? This anime is worth of your time!
I don't really get it. This is basically a yaoi anime if you don't like yaoi and rate it so lowly? You can't basically give a rate to something you know the genre is yaoi but you are still willingly to watch it. Forget the negative comments about this show, this show is Great. I loved it so much, there were other characters as well, and they all have their own unique story line. For those people ...

  • One of my favorite yaoi series
Yes, it's formulaic. Yes, there's tons of fanservice with all the bishies (I'm SO not complaining about that!). Yes, you want to bang their heads together and tell them to GROW UP about every episode. Still, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi is one of my favorite yaoi series, in part because there's less of the yaoi tropes I really dislike, like the "I'm not gay! I'm straight, really I'm straight!", ...

    A Beautiful Love Story
This is probably my favorite BL story thus far. I LOVE the flashbacks to Ritsu and Masamune as high school students - explaining how they first met and fell in love long before the story begins. Both characters (and the other 'main' characters with side stories) work for a publishing company editing or writing manga. I think the side characters are more fully developed in this one than in Junjou. ...

  • If you have an open mind about these type of romance, just watch it already!
This anime is very promising and so far one of the best shounen ai anime there is. It doesn't start boring and it doesn't get boring overtime. The story line has so many twists and turns, that will make you want to keep watching. The complexity of their emotions and how they are expressed is just pretty touching.

  • Interesting but frustrating at times.
I happen to stumble into this not knowing it was a yaoi (somehow). However, the fun interaction between some of the characters, and the interesting look into the world of editing kept me watching till the end. The few things I'd like to criticize is the constant feeling of wanting to shake some characters and call them stupid (Here's looking at you Kisa), and Takano always forcing himself on ...
