    Very provoking anime
It has been a while since I have watched an anime that made me step back and think about things; about how we treat the world and others in it. In the beginning of this anime I felt the vibe that it was going to be dark and twisted (Monster, When Sea Gulls Cry, Higurashi are some of the animes that I thought it was going to be similiar to), but by the end I find that it was more truly a piece of ...

    jaw-dropping amazing
This is probably one of the underrated shows that I wish more people would acknowledge. The plot is definitely 1 of a kind and, unlike other shows, by the end you kind of question what was truly right or wrong. My only problems were that the beginning took a while to roll in and episode 7 (or 8? I forget) was quite surprising and some of the stuff was somewhat unnecessary. I've heard that it makes ...

GREAT! I didn't expect that at all
I wasn't sure what to expect with this. The summary made it sound like it was about the usual friendship teenage comedy/romance stuff, but it wasn't. THANK GOD it wasn't. It was dark, mature, and basically about the progression of humans and the means we take to ensure our survival.
Listen, I maranthanoed the crap out of this anime (thank the lord for summer vacation). It's confusing in the ...

    Absolutely worth it! Must see!
If I write too much I am afraid this will not be read. So, without too much, this is one of the best series' ever. The plot is impeccable, the characters dynamic, and even the villains make you question your sense of morals. Intellectually captivating yet very visceral. So watch it already.

    Great Show, Definitely overlooked
This is by no means a standard review, just putting the word out there that you don't know what you're missing out on by skimping on this anime. It's deconstruction of underlying societal themes in a captivating and dark sense merits this show as one worth seeing, not to mention the awesome artwork, especially later in the series. It's one of those shows that really takes getting into the 4th or ...

An Anime Similar to "The Giver"
Shin Sekai Yori is so thought provoking. Definitely one of the more mature and sophisticated anime out there with high level of written literature. The plot and storyline overall were very engaging and each episode would leave you the feeling that it was only 5 minutes long. As I was watching this anime, Shin Sekai Yori didn't feel like it was an Anime, due to the dominant genre of Romance, Comedy ...

A Very Intelligent, Mature, and Thought-Provoking Anime
This shows easily deserves 5 out of 5 stars for how deep the storyline really is: It's mind-blowing. The story becomes more and more interesting as the show progresses. The characters are generally well executed and Saki the main character has a bit of character development. The beginning of this anime is fairly slow but please stick with it. The animation is gorgeous enough for you to be ...

Don't Be Fooled-- This is a mature Sci-Fi anime
This is easily one of the best anime I've ever seen, and I've been watching anime for over 30 years. Short review: Stick with it for 6-8 episodes. You won't be sorry.

    Long Review:

    1. Plot: starts out a little slow, and I might downgrade half a star for it if I could. If this hadn't been recommended to me by a trustworthy source I probably wouldn't have stuck with it long enough for it to ...

    An Anime truly worth watching
When this anime first arrived on crunchy roll i didn't know what to expect, after watching the first 3 episodes it became clear to me this anime had alot to offer. The mystery the topics they cover, the character development is something to behold. I found myself wanting more every time the credits rolled, this anime needs to be experienced start to finish. You wont be disappointed.

Adventure, drama and surprise in every episode
This anime is about how a group of high school friends find themselves involved in uncovering disturbing secret information about the society they live in. There is a great deal of drama and mysteries develop and are slowly solved, but not without tragedy and loss. I liked the pacing and story line; at first things seem quite bizarre but as the episodes wear on, explanations begin to emerge for ...
