    A strange perspective
From the new world is one of those series which requires you to watch until the end to grasp the extent of the plot. On an artistic level, it stands fairly well rounded, and while not particularly breathtaking, it conveys the story well. It has a great deal more depth of plot than the cover might indicate and is certainly not a title I would recommend for the younger viewers.

    Themes ...

    Eerie and Unexpected
TL;DR: Creepy, be ready for some twists. Dark and mature themes. Inconsistency with the art style, but can usually be ignored.

Did you watch the first episode and go "meh"? Watch the second episode and said "ehhh..."? Yeah, me, too. For whatever reason, probably my insatiable curiosity, I stuck with it.
Shin Sekai Yori has a subtle seductive quality: you don't realize that you've been ...

    Really incredible anime! refreshingly different
This is one of the most amazing series I've watched in a long time, it's such a shame that some people gave up on it after the first few episodes. Stick with it, it gets so good! It's refreshingly unique and doesn't simply go with cliches. It's very dark and with many interesting turns, it wasn't at all what I expected. The ending was incredible and left me with chills, I would seriously recommend ...

    misclassified, mislabeled, and extremely deep.
a dark and philosophical journey that pulls no punches and is filled with complex three-dimensional characters. No 'simple' villains, even in the most obvious places, and decisions that you root for -at the time- often come back to haunt you as their realistic aftershocks return.

Most anime that begins with a child protagonist takes the stand that those children are the wisest people in the ...

    Absolutely Amazing!!
Most anime's I watch I go to the 15 minute mark on the first episode and say that's that or I'll watch to the end and be like that was okay. This one was neither. This one I watched to the end, re-watched it, pooped my pants twice, and said this is the best anime ever. The main reason for that is the amazing character progression as it spreads over a span of multiple years instead of the anime ...

A little part of me died.
Many animes draw you in with superb action and plot, but after it is over you just pick up another anime to watch. This anime make me think profoundly about many things. Shin sekai yori was an depressing anime because it presents a terribly sad story in a cheerful way. I was hurt from watching this anime, and I guess a part of my innocence died as a result.

Nonetheless, a great anime but not ...

    Fantastic Anime All Around
This anime is incredibly impressive. I have never watched an anime that ended as well as this one does, in that it doesn't leave anything hanging in the story while leaving enough to the imagination to keep it interesting. It lived up to my expectations completely. I honestly can't come up with something about it that I don't like. It draws you in right away, uses great foreshadowing and hinting ...

Deep, Dark and slow, but worth the effort.
From The New World asks the question: how much would you sacrifice for the security of yourself, your family, your friends, and ultimately for your way of life. It sets that question in a far-future world, and provides a context that make answering that question extremely difficult, so we have no choice but to follow along with the characters and wonder. This series is written very tightly; ...

This is One of the Best Anime I Have Ever Seen
Even if it dose not market itself well, I am still surprised people are not talking about this. It ended really well, and never felt like something I have seen before. This story has a lot of depth, told through deep characters. It was dark, poetic, and addicting. The kids are not cute, they seem like real people, responding to a horrible world.

Great deep story with surprisingly violent tendencies
I was very pleasantly surprised by this show. It is set in the future where a remnant of humanity all possess psychokinetic powers. The society has dark secrets that eventually come back to bite them. The show follows the lives of Group 1 from youngsters to adulthood and all the difficulties that befall them. It is well worth watching,
