    Loved the feel of it
This show had just about everything I enjoy in an anime. The world building, character development, and artwork all worked very well together. Though the artwork seemed to taper off a few episodes in (it started off absolutely incredible imo, loved the style), but overall I continued watching because the plot itself was good.

If I had to describe this series in one word...
This is the first time I've written a review on here and its one the few times I've even thought of doing it. It takes many words to describe this show but if I had to pick one then i'd go with "mature". If you want a series description then read the "About this show" on crunchy roll. If you want a summary, don't. You only need to make the decision of whether or not you go on this journey. If you ...

    One of the best animes
Someone on crunchyroll suggested this anime in the comments of Sword Art Online. Wow, was I in for a surprise. I enjoyed SAO (at least the first half) so I came to this anime expecting something similar. This was way, WAY better than I expected. I don't know how I have never heard of this before. It's one of the best animes I've ever seen, if not THE best. I do have an affinity for dystopian ...

    Beautiful, Deep, Thought-provoking, Memorable.
Amongst many other anime I've been watching recently, Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World) is memorable in the most unique of ways - it goes from portraying pure aesthetic, to a critique on society in many ways. This anime adaptation of Yusuke Kishi's novel is great - utilising aesthetics to portray a highly creative view of the future, unique from any I've seen. Characters are real in ...

Hits you right in the feels
This anime is amazing. It starts off slow and lures you in with some slice-of-life esque episodes. Occasionally there might be something that seems weird, but this is a show about kids learning to use their telekinetic powers so maybe it's only strange from your point of view. As the story progresses and develops you realize that you were right, there is something profundly disturbing about this ...

    Very provoking anime
It has been a while since I have watched an anime that made me step back and think about things; about how we treat the world and others in it. In the beginning of this anime I felt the vibe that it was going to be dark and twisted (Monster, When Sea Gulls Cry, Higurashi are some of the animes that I thought it was going to be similiar to), but by the end I find that it was more truly a piece of ...

    jaw-dropping amazing
This is probably one of the underrated shows that I wish more people would acknowledge. The plot is definitely 1 of a kind and, unlike other shows, by the end you kind of question what was truly right or wrong. My only problems were that the beginning took a while to roll in and episode 7 (or 8? I forget) was quite surprising and some of the stuff was somewhat unnecessary. I've heard that it makes ...

GREAT! I didn't expect that at all
I wasn't sure what to expect with this. The summary made it sound like it was about the usual friendship teenage comedy/romance stuff, but it wasn't. THANK GOD it wasn't. It was dark, mature, and basically about the progression of humans and the means we take to ensure our survival.
Listen, I maranthanoed the crap out of this anime (thank the lord for summer vacation). It's confusing in the ...

    Absolutely worth it! Must see!
If I write too much I am afraid this will not be read. So, without too much, this is one of the best series' ever. The plot is impeccable, the characters dynamic, and even the villains make you question your sense of morals. Intellectually captivating yet very visceral. So watch it already.

    Great Show, Definitely overlooked
This is by no means a standard review, just putting the word out there that you don't know what you're missing out on by skimping on this anime. It's deconstruction of underlying societal themes in a captivating and dark sense merits this show as one worth seeing, not to mention the awesome artwork, especially later in the series. It's one of those shows that really takes getting into the 4th or ...
