  • Words cannot capture this masterpiece
Words cannot effectively describe this show. It's a rough, wild ride that goes down some of the darkest roads imaginable. It feels a lot like Madoka or NGE in that it seems so simple on the surface, but gets much deeper as it goes on.

Without giving to much away, this show is primarily about five kids growing up in a world where society has collapsed and what's left is strictly controlled. The ...

    An Absolute Masterpiece
One of the most enthralling anime I've ever seen, and quite possibly the best. I put off watching this for so long because of it's synopsis on every site describing it poorly as a show geared towards young kids, and it's cover isn't very telling. But let me tell you, this is a gripping, adult tale that will take you places.

This isn't just about kids with telekinesis, this is an incredibly ...

A must watch for mystery lovers
I can't even begin to explain how much you should watch this anime. Don't let the age of the protagonists or occasional romance sprinkled in fool you, this is a deep, compelling anime that slowly builds it's story over time and throws something new at you every time you think you see the whole picture.

The strong points of this anime is a deep, compelling story with several mysteries layered ...

  • A well-executed, well-paced, realistic and intelligent (sci-fi) series
This was my favorite series of 2013 (and 2014 since that's when I watched it). It's a serious anime for a mature audience.

What I like about it most is that the characters react realistically and intelligently to their situations. They're not idealized; none of them have unexpected Mary Sue powers or are unrealistically cute/clumsy for laughs. There is no gratuity or plotless comedy; every ...

  • Great Anime With Complex Underlying Themes...
This anime lures you in, perhaps a little slowly, and leaves you with deep feelings about the show. The concept art, animation(in general), and philosophical themes are all fantastic. The story is interesting and complex. Although I very much liked the animation, there are points where it is a little oversimplified. The story is very psychological and has themes of tragedy.

  • A masterpiece that puts a bitter yet sweet taste in your mouth
Can't believe I just discovered this. For a story revolving around a dystopian society, this show executes it with darkness, grace, and intrigue. What is power? While it is easy to say that all should be equal, what happens if you are the one inheriting with an overwhelming power unimaginable to anyone? How do you control this power? How do you treat those around you without this power? This show ...

    For Mature Audiences
I don't normally write reviews. In fact, this is my first on CR.
This anime is just that good.

HOWEVER! If you are not mature - and I don't mean in the physical sense, but rather a psychological sense... you will probably not enjoy it all. I initially watched this at another site, and for a stretch of episodes the comments contained a fair bit of homophobia (there's a bit of yaoi and yuri - ...

  • A thought provoking and emotional affective anime.
I was lost for this first few minutes of the first episode, but as I watched it, I was immersed into it and began feeling for the main characters and the background (future Japan). The last episodes became more emotional and terrifying until the end where all the loose ends are cleared up.

If you like mysteries and some adventure, with a bit of horror added, watch this anime.

    Fantastic and genuinely unique.
An excellent, unusually deep anime that details a human society struggling with it's own evolution, touching on questions on how far is it okay to go to preserve a society and a people's safety, sexual exploration, and exploitation of other cultures. It goes through two or three major changes in tone throughout it's duration, usually as it's protagonists age. It even pulls the unusual trick of ...

You will love it! I guarantee
It isn't often that an anime captivates me as much as this one has. I'm sick of animes that have no background and are rather flat in terms of plot development. It was amazing to see the amount of detail that went into this show and I absolutely love it. It's rather tragic though, but that's what kept me interested.
