    An Anime truly worth watching
When this anime first arrived on crunchy roll i didn't know what to expect, after watching the first 3 episodes it became clear to me this anime had alot to offer. The mystery the topics they cover, the character development is something to behold. I found myself wanting more every time the credits rolled, this anime needs to be experienced start to finish. You wont be disappointed.

Adventure, drama and surprise in every episode
This anime is about how a group of high school friends find themselves involved in uncovering disturbing secret information about the society they live in. There is a great deal of drama and mysteries develop and are slowly solved, but not without tragedy and loss. I liked the pacing and story line; at first things seem quite bizarre but as the episodes wear on, explanations begin to emerge for ...

  • This show is unexpected
This anime is really interesting. It involves a lot in sociology and the world view. I will say is not a normal high school anime no it's more dark, horror (some scenes are gory), creepy, and serious drama. Things happens in this anime and you need to pay attention to understand because most of people don't understand at the beginning and that's normal me either I didn't understand. If you watch ...

    One of my favorites!
I think this is one of the better animes that I've seen in a long time, I even resorted to re-watching it. Just watching the first couple episodes doesn't give it justice, you have to finish the series

An animé about power and ethics
This animé was both exciting and made you think. I can highly recommend this series to all viewers 15 years and older. In some cases even younger, although there is a lot of violence and blood.

Shin Sekai Yori will make you think about ethics and what is acceptable to do for the greater good.

  • Loved The Anime!!!!!
Although I'm a Bit Late and the Anime Ended in March, I Just Finished Watching It and the storyline was extremely well thought out. The Suspense and mystery was portrayed well and I liked the fact that it expands over 25 or more years. Wish it was Longer though! >3<

One of my top 5 favorite anime!
What keeps this show from getting better reviews is its advertising, but I'm going to review it based on only the show itself.

I'll be honest, the first few episodes didn't exactly captivate me. Their purpose was to set the stage for the characters and their psychokinetic powers, which all people are now born with. BUT DO NOT LET THIS KEEP YOU FROM FINISHING THE SHOW. Around episode 3 or 4 the ...

    A strange perspective
From the new world is one of those series which requires you to watch until the end to grasp the extent of the plot. On an artistic level, it stands fairly well rounded, and while not particularly breathtaking, it conveys the story well. It has a great deal more depth of plot than the cover might indicate and is certainly not a title I would recommend for the younger viewers.

    Themes ...

    Brave New World vibes
If you've ever read the novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, and you've enjoyed it, I think you will enjoy the message in this anime as well.
Shin Sekai Yori was probably hugely influenced by that novel, regarding a new society structure and system.

There are three problems with this anime; first is the pacing and second is the characters.
The way they tell the story is way too slow, and ...

  • Very Pleasantly Surprised
This is a drama. There's essentially no comedy, and it works very well. Everything ties together and no time is wasted. There's not even an intro -- just a title flash as you are drawn directly into the story again. The story revolves around one character and her group of friends. Through them, the world is revealed as they learn about it. It's excellent writing.

No character is overplayed in ...
