    Beautiful and intriguing
This is not for everybody, especially those who want to think critically about what they are watching. I think it is so fascinating. The soundtrack and animation is amazing, a real work of art. Everything in the anime seems crucial to explaining this world they live in. I agree that it doesn't market itself well with being mature and psychological. Even though their society is so ...

Looks promising, can't wait for more
This anime is really for mature audiences who enjoy critical thinking and puzzling mystery; younger audiences may find this to be very boring due to this anime's intimacy in telling its story. I absolutely love the way the story progresses and I love the beautifully crafted drawings as well. Many times in the story, it is confusing because they don't give you all the information but it gives this ...

The anime is nice I guess?
But the characters are so realistically wimpy and hormone fueled. These kids are not right in the head and look anime pretty. Well it's stuff I haven't seen before but I guess it's more for girls and feminine guys. It makes me feel bored and negative of humanity cuz of their actions. I would have give it a lower score but this isn't the kind of anime I normally like to watch.

    Something like "The Giver"
At first glance the characters are weak, the story is confusing. I hated the series at first but I slowly found my self drawn in by its similarity to "The Giver". Their societies were the same in the way they both witheld what was going on from the people in the village, and they both had a system to eliminate their unwanted and imperfect humans. I suggest to keep watching, if you have the ...

Science Fiction Anime at it's Best.
This hands down one of the best anime series I have encountered. You may ask why, and let me give it to you straight: Psychokinesis. While this has been done many times over in anime, this story really paints a realistic outcome if such a power was suddenly discovered in our modern age as the back drop of a growing of age tale with a young heroine discovering the truth of her world, along with her ...

  • Great anime for human evolution
This anime really tell how human race can evolve in future. This is one of many futures which can occur us. Very sad, but you understood: We must eliminate thread of our society.

Watch and see, you will surprise positively

    This is just pure genius.
Slice of life, scifi, monster rats?! This anime is just awesome. It takes a lil' extra thinking and stuff to understand what is going on but that is why it's so good! Glad it is continuing on. Each episode lays down a good foundation for the next, which is very nice. You don't see that alot in some of these anime nowadays. Then again you never see anime like this anyway. I LOVE IT.

  • Besides the first 2 episode....
The anime is great. The first two episodes are slow and boring. However, after you hit episode 3-5 you understand the mystery that unfolds in this truly amazing anime. The fantasy world of monsters and demons all created from humans or evolution. The story of 5 children keep the story fresh and creative. The writers of this anime really done it this time.
    Environment of the Anime (EOA)
    The feel ...

An Interesting Dystopia with strange social engineering ideas
Shin Sekai Yori starts out as a slice of life series, but turns into an excellent dystopian sci-fi series.

Based on a Japanese novel of the same name, Shin Sekai Yori investigates social engineering employed in a society so fragile that it can be destroyed by any of its members. As you might guess, great lengths must be taken to protect the many from the few. While I question the robustness of ...
