Shugo Chara

This show is about a girl named Amu who is called "cool and spicy" at her school. Everybody thinks that she is popular and cool but that is Amu's outer character.
Amu wishes that she can be the person she really is, so when she wakes up in the morning, three colored eggs with patterns appeared on her bed. The eggs, soon later hatched into three guardian characters named Ran, Miki, and Su. Ran represents Amu's sporty and outgoing side, Miki represents Amu's artful side, and Su represents Amu's clumsy and hard-working side. I also need to put in that she has a fourth guardian character named Dia that represents Amu's radiant side. This is the story of a girl who makes friends, has enemies, and finds the path to her true identity!

Now I don't wanna bore you with my story on how shugo chara changed my life but i can tell you this: it did. Now shugo chara started as a 25 min(30 min w/ comercials) anime which was good then it continued with shugo chara doki which was also good but then of course some baka thought of putting in live-action... which to be honest is horrible. I'm not saying i don't like shugo chara party but it really ruined the show,i mean if the hosts(shugo chara eggs 2) were talking bout shugo chara info then that 'ill be ok but insted playing shugo chara egg battle is a little inmature.. the op and ed was pretty nice but i like the old ones better. Shugo chara has been and it still is(even though i'm not a big fan of shugo chara party) is reconmended, i guess the only problem with scp is: shugo chara eggs(it wastes too much time of the show) and the anime is too short!! and i hate how almost every ep starts off with Rikka or even some times the entire ep is bout her. Everything else is fine i like shugo chara puchhi puchi its very funny,so if tv tokyo put me in charge then i would cancel shugo chara party giving it back its real name "Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki" and add about a few eps of shugo chara puchhi puchi. so if youre gonna watch the show i'm sure you' ll love the first and second season but shugo chara party maybe not so much but still its a shugoi show

Before I started to watch this series, I thought it would be stupid for a 15-year-old girl like me to watch such a girly show.
But when I tried it, it got seriously addicting and I couldn't stop watching it! :O
The animation is really detailed and amazing, and also the story plot is interesting.
This anime may also tell some life lessons? xD Lolz.
Fillers are indeed annoying but that's how magical girl shojo animes are like. xD
So if you haven't tried this anime yet, I recommend it xD

Shugo Chara! (first season)

This anime is one of the best animes I have ever seen! Some people don't like Shugo Chara because it's just "X Eggs come and get purified", but this anime has shown me what I want my true self to be. This anime always makes me wonder what I want to be and made me try to achieve my true self. This anime has romance, comedy, some action, cute charas, and cute guys. This anime is truly a good anime for anyone to watch!

-Shugo Chara! is the best season on the whole show!

Shugo Chara! Doki! (second season) has too many fillers, this is why people, including me, started to hate Shugo Chara! but I still liked it because of the filler character, Lulu. This season is still good to watch just to see the ending.

Shugo Chara! Doki! Dokki! (third season) is just mainly about fillers, which everyone hates including me. It's very boring and a waste of time to watch. Shugo Chara! Party!, a section of Shugo Chara! where there are cosplayers. The cosplayers mainly play little games, introduce characters, and talk about other things. In the episodes, the cosplayers are a TOTAL waste of time, which the time can be used for anime screening. Shugo Chara! Puchi! Pucchi!, another section of Shugo Chara! where Ran, Miki, Suu, and Dia are the main characters along with the other charas. These little skits are cute if you want to get a little laugh in you, but still a waste of time, which could have been to anime screening time.

(Note: this review refers to the Shugo Chara - Doki! season and not the more recent Party series)

Shugo Chara is still a nice series, but it isn't what it used to be. The characters are still engaging, the music is still prime J-Pop and the animation is well-drawn, but storyline has fallen into a "? egg of the week" mode for more than half the episodes of the season. Granted, some of this was to set up the reveal (to Amu) that and they did spend a bunch of episodes on Ikuto's situation. Then there were a few episodes that escalated the romantic conflict between Tadase and Ikuto over Amu (Such as it is: We're talking about a 6th grader here.), but both of those storylines have been stalled for quite a while now, and none of them have really changed much from where they were at the beginning of the season. And Dia hasn't appeared since the beginning of the season! With so many episodes that just involve meeting a new kid, having that kid generate a ? egg for some reason and then saving the kid, we're talking heavy doses of filler here.

I have some hope for improvement and new momentum. There was a major revelation in the current episode (June 12) and there aren't that many episodes left before the end of the season. The technical merits of this series are still pretty high, especially when you consider it's really just a kids show. I mean compare the artwork to Pokemon, and Shugo Chara wins hands down. All they really have to do to regain their momentum is return to the long-term plotlines of the story.

Disclosure: Yes, I'm too old for this series. I watch it with my daughter.

Storyline: Several open plotlines that have stagnated recently. When they keep the story moving, the show works
Music: As I said, prime Jpop. Every song has had some kind of a nice hook at a minimum. Looking for LEGAL mp3 of the 2nd opener.
Characters: Amu and Tadase have some character development that has shown over the season. Ikuto and Utau haven't had their final bows and could develop as well. The remaining guardians appear to remain the same. Everyone is so cuuuute!
Animation: Some short-cuts panning stills, etc. But the character styles are appealing. It takes imagination to have to come up with different costumes for the number of kids, guardian characters and ? characters that appear in the show. Not al of them succeed, but most do.

Overall: call it 4 stars including a bonus for giving me some family time.

Shugo Chara is a really great upbeat anime. It builds up your confidence and many people can relate to most of the characters. Each character has their own special dream, and those dreams become a guardian character that helps that person be who they want to be. The anime helps people follow their own dream while also laugh at the silliness of the show. This anime genres are: comedy, romance, school life, magical girl, and supernatural. The music such as the openings, endings, and character songs are really great and catchy. I love them all!

Shugo Chara! is a definite recommendation to watch/read. It is enjoyable from youth children to young teens. Shugo Chara! has a cast of characters that blend well together. Amu Hinamori is my favorite character, not because she's the main, but that she acts like me sometimes. Her Guardian Character Miki in a sense resembles me because I love art and blue. To me, nothing could top Shugo Chara!. It is my favorite, and I come every Friday to watch an episode. Sure, sometimes the filers aren't that fun, but it's still nice to see Shugo Chara! in action, while waiting for the manga chapters to come out. The story becomes interesting when, the new "Character Bearer" Amu Hinamori, joins the Guardians and learns about a magical wishing egg called the Embryo. While on her journey, Amu falls in love with two boys: Tadase Hotori and Ikuto Tsukiyomi. It is insteresing to see which one she shall finally pick.

This is a great show for girls in their teen years even though it has a 5th grade girl for a main character. Well it first start off with our main heroine, Amu. In the outside, she's like this all "Cool and Spicey" girl. But in the inside, she's just like every girl, very shy girl who wishes to have courage to truly be herself. From then on, 3 guardian Charas were borned!! This romance/comedy/school life/magical story is perfect even though its a weird mix for eveything..... Oh well! This is probably the best show i watched even though at times it was a tad boring... Again Oh well! The romance is perfect and even i like amuto couple.. youll get it once you watched it. so hury up watch this perfect ANIME!!!!!

Sound-I find the sound very clear and understandable.
Animation-The animeation is remarkably smooth and has a great style.
Story-The plot is creative and exciting to watch. I love how the story takes an unexpected turn at episode 26. The series has excellent amounts on rising and falling action.
Characters- All the characters have interesting personalities, especialy Hoshina Utau.
Enjoyment- I enjoyed the whole series. There was enough conflict and action to keep me watching.

My overall comment: Amazing anime, no questions asked.
This is probaly Peach Pit's best work. I find the anime "Uta Kata" similar.
