  • NOT a MUST watch, its a NEED to WATCH.
From the beginning I knew this was going to be something big, because you don't see anime like this every day. Sword Art Online has romance, action, thriller (ext) the whole lot in one season and it has somehow sewed together so beautifully you cannot stop watching. It makes you feel apart of the character (Kirito) who has always been the type of person who likes to be on their own, but as the ...

Could have been perfect, but wasn't
So, when I first started watching this series, I fell in love with it because of the world it was based in, the situation, and most of all, the intense action and music. All beautifully done. The first few episodes really pulled you in and made you want to watch more and be more immersed in such a vast world.

About 7-8 episodes in, I started losing that a little bit. Granted, the original ...

  • It's a adventure you wish you were in.
I will admit the first half is better than the second, but even so the flaws(to me) are minimal. The one thing that kills enjoyment is a series that is boring. That's not the case with this though. I always felt engaged in every episode and I hope everyday that they continue this show.

  • Amazing settings, characters, and a deep and engaging storyline
When I started the first episode I was skeptical. I thought this would just a be another shonen villian of the week the hero barely able to stay alive show. I was happt to be proven wrong. Two very strong major characters and a handful of memorable and engaging secondary characters carried a storyline while strong did get weak in a few areas but with the cast of characters it managed to stay on ...

  • Interesting story that reels the watcher in.
What I really liked about this story and the plot of this anime, was that it related to gamers. I like to think of myself as a heavy gamer, because gaming is one of my favorite hobbies and things to do to pass the time. While RPG and MMORPG is not necessarily my choice of gaming, this story revolving around a game and an online gaming community caught my attention fairly quickly. So, in that ...

  • Simply put Badassery
    SPOILER FREE!!!

SAO is like any gamer's dream. In a near distant future where virtual gaming is the norm, people play MMORPGS in a setting similar to .Hack. Though this anime takes what .Hack did and hits every note that it missed. The anime revolves around two main characters though is focused more on the male protagonist Kirito.

Animation 10/10- The different colors, and contrast of them ...

The first anime to interest me enough to seek out and read the associated source light novels. Wonderful story & looking forward to more to come from the amazing author of SAO and Accel World Reki Kawahara.
