    Great Start: Bad End
Started out with a bang. Amazing animation. fantastic fights, good story, good characters and ok pacing.

Then we get to season 2 ‘ALO’ a bit underwhelming; but still enjoyable.

Then we get to season 3 ‘GGO’: bad story, annoying characters, just boring and generic. GGO's only redeeming quality are the fights; which are great.

PS the female lead Asuna starts out as an awesome bad ass. ...

    great story about gamers
as i gamer myself i love the way they do this. so much fun. the story is good. the characters work well together and every thing blends well. yes the games change but thats how gaming is. i think this was very well done.

Holy Smokes, I'm watching this again!
This anime was amazing! A very cool premise drew me in and the story arcs were quite good, I will have to watch it again to pick up what I missed or forgot! I like how they pulled so many characters together and used them to tell stories about what Virtual Reality MMOs could be like! It makes me wish we had something like this in real life, minus the obvious downside I won't mention for any who ...

    Great, but has a flaw
I thought that Sword Art Online (SAO) was a very good idea for a very good anime. The characters were well rounded and the animation was decent. It was suspenseful, funny, action packed, and romantic at the same time. However, the reason I gave this anime only 4 stars was because of timing. They were only in the game for 14 episodes, and we missed lots of events, like Floor 67. If they had the ...

Want a way to binge watch away a few days of your life? Here's how!
well, i had never heard of SAO up until about a week before im writing this review and now im sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for SAO III. i initially found out about the shows existence through watching a reaction video on youtube of an abridged series of SAO. after watching the abridged series, i decided to check this out. after the first episode, i was pulled in by the concept of the ...

    Fantasy adventure at its finest
SAO is a unique show in terms of plot, what starts as an alternate world setting moves back and forth between the real world and the virtual one. Action is a sticking point in SAO, there's countless fights and frightening scenes. The first part of the show offers a romantic adventure, things later change as the story progresses. There's occasional laughs and tears, but the story has a theme of ...

Sword Art Online - 4/5 Stars
SAO was one of my first animes, and I enjoyed it. I'll get to the point. I ripped one star off because of this.
    The organization of seasons. *SPOILERS*
The first half of SAO S1 is amazing. No argument there. The second half feels like it should be a separate season, but it was pretty good. Same with the second season.
The plot twists are engaging, but it switches what the story is every half ...

    Should have ended on 14
At the end of Episode 14, *spoilers* Asuna is dead and Kirito wakes up. It was an ending I could be comfortable and accept its flaws and inconsistencies with. Sure maybe its not the happiest ending for Kirito, but Lelouche's Blind sister doesn't live happily ever after and look at how amazing and well received the ending of Code Geass was. Now I will admit while I don't believe the second season ...

Action packed and beautiful animation, but lacks real depth.
There is probably no anime in recent years with more polarizing reviews than Sword Art Online. After watching it with my own eyes, in spite of harrowing opinions from both SAO lovers and haters, I've come up with my own conclusion for the show.

It starts off with the game transforming itself into a life-or-death simulator (for reasons that still aren't clear), setting up a promising beginning ...

    Season 1 is the best
I really liked season 1. Season 2 on the other hand is a disapointment; it doesnt have the same level of story telling and it lacks the tension that the first season brought to the table. Now its a slice of life anime rather than an action/fantasy anime... BOORING!!!
