An anime that will make history
Sword Art Online (S.A.O) is an amazing anime its the perfect balance of action romance and adventure its an anime that Ive been looking for, for so long. To be honest its one of my favorites if not my 1. if your thinking about watching it just watch the first episode you'll beg for more!

I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.
SAO is too focused on few characters. Its unpredictabilities and plot are not interesting and probably only appeal to a certain age bracket. No wonder it only spawned 25 eps. It also has poor philosophy compared to Attack on Titan and Gargantia... This would pale in comparison to Summer Wars, although I shouldn't compare a series to a film.

Perfect anime for guys and girls!
To me, it's pretty hard to find an anime that both genders will like. Sword Art Online has the action and the romance to keep guys and girls glued to their computer screen. All the characters in this anime are very well done.

  • Expect the Unexpected
A truly amazing anime! This is one of those animes that starts about hardcore and ends hardcore. There is a little bit of everything in this anime. I never gave this anime a try, but now after finishing the series I regret not watching it sooner! Great story line, art, and ending. I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!

One of the Best Series I've Ever Seen
SAO is brilliant. Absolutely captivated me from the first episode, and is possibly my favorite anime series. The story is fantastic and actually rewards the viewer. The romance is heartfelt and the plot is completely realistic, I highly recommend watching.

Start watching this early in the day :D
Well I have to say what I saw was amazing. This is the second Anime series I have watched and was recommended by a friend. It is a truly griping tale and had me hooked right from episode 1. Lets put it this way I have watched all 25 episodes in one day and I really enjoyed it. Being a gamer myself it really did relate to me and that just helped me enjoy it more. I would say if you are not a gamer ...

Sword Art Online - Is it worth the hype?
Riveting anime that gives me goosebumps to how realistic an mmo can be realized in anime or manga. The manga completely sucks for this series, unlike the .Hack series. However, the anime does some justice to the work for amazing artwork, graphics, and visuals throughout the whole series. You will definitely not be disappointed with this series if you are a fan of action, suspense, or thriller!

Watched this on a friend's recommendation...
...and it delivered in spades. I could go on and on about the action, romance, plot, and character development, but there really isn't a need to do what everybody else before me has done; I do agree with all the positivity surrounding it.

The understated themes surrounding life in virtual reality and vanilla reality revolve around blurring the lines; SAO tackles which is real and brings ...

A bit of a demographic issue.
The first half of Sword Art Online is captivating with interesting characters and a fast paced enjoyable plot but near the 15 episode mark it goes from Shounen (for boys) to Shoujo (for girls) Still good, just not for me.
    Good Points
    - Good gaming humor
    - Unconventional characters (at first)
    - Interesting scenarios and environments
    Bad Points
    - Demographic change
    - Characters ...

  • The best virtual reality game series ever created!!
SAO seriously made me want to get sucked into the game and try it out for real XD In the beginning it had a great story line and I liked the characters but towards the later episodes, it seemed like it was moving a bit too fast? The switching to fairies wasn't too bad and it was pretty interesting. Other than that it has good action and I'm always a fan for swords ;3
