    Sword Art Online! Worth Watching!
Sword Art Online is a really great anime that I would recommend to both people that have watched a lot of anime or starting new. The story is really great and is very exciting. The only issue I had was after episode 12 of the first season it kind of started going downhill slightly for me but was still enjoyable.

    SkittlezMagic's Blind Review!
To be honest I didn't know anything about the Sword Art Online series until I started watching the anime, and like all anime I watch I went in blind! An anime that is fantasy and action? This anime may not be for all, but if you are a fan of fantasy action things, (Eg. anime or games) Then give Sword Art Online a try!
You may or may not like it, but at least you can say you tried!
    Personally I ...

Only has a decent first season
The rest is terrible. The writers obviously sacrificed the plot in order to turn Sword Art into just another cheesy fan-fic. Also, where did the one black dude go? Seriously. There need to be more diversity in this show. This show is a misogynistic harem built around zero plot whatsoever. If you want a better show about MMOs, try Log Horizon.

Also, how much rape can you put in one show?

Okay, Suffers from a lack of focus
Like any triple-A video game, Sword Art Online comes with just as many problems as it does moments of satisfaction. The most glaring issue the show has is that it lacks focus. Instead of focusing the entire series on the titular game, the show visits multiple games, each of them essentially being defined with a gimmick, such as perma-death, flying, or guns. Unfortunately, all of the games ...

    Loved this Anime!!!!
Character development in this anime is outstanding. The storyline is brilliant and keeps the viewer wanting more episodes. There are points were information lapses, but the anime does a great job at touching back on the lapses to fill the viewer in on what happened. Graphics are great. Great romance between characters and enough action to keep anyone satisfied. Loved this anime.

Average anime that has Overrated hype behind it.
I've always loved the idea of having a enthralling Virtual Reality world where I could lose myself in.. And even though there's a lot of hype behind it. I'm sorry to burst the bubble, but the anime is all flash, with absolutely NO substance.
(Disclaimer all I could handle of this anime was the 1st seasons 8-9 episodes.)

The beginning of this anime is much promising. The first episode sets up ...

    Beautiful Visuals; Mediocre Story
***Note: This review only applies to the first season.***

Quick, spoiler-free synopsis (bar Episode 1). Kirito is a gamer who has been playing a new VRMMO (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online) game called Sword Art Online since its beta stage. The game is released and he and many other day-one players are shocked to learn that the game's creator has trapped all of them in the game, ...

    Acceptable, but far from perfect
    PROS:
+ World Building: Reki's world building is incredible and he does a fantastic job out of making you want to come and stay in the worlds of SAO.
+ Art/Colors: This is a very good looking anime and certain scenes are very wallpaper-worthy.

    CONS:
    - Characters: Kirito is OP as shit and literally nothing can even touch him minus the fucking admin of the game, which he proceeds to smite ...

One of the best anime series
This is a pretty good show if you like playing MMOs, want to one day be able to play in MMOs like Megaman style, and if you enjoy anime. The anime really captures you, and keeps you watching even when the action is slow. Though, towards the end, in SAO II, ep 20 onwards, the show ends up being dulled a little.
