    Deep, Engaging, Emotional, 5 star
This is possible my most favorite anime to date, if not it's definitely in the top 5. It's a great adventurous story, filled with action, depth, and lots of "feels"! I loved it and you will not regret trying it out. Give it at least 3-4 episodes before calling it quits.

    The anime in general.
Where to begin? Have you ever think about the future of the technology with online games? Sword Art Online is the name of the game in which players can control their avatar by using a machine called Nerve Gear. But, the story follows Kirito and other players (such as: Asuna, Klein, and many others) fighting to stay alive in a game you can't log out because the creator is holding them inside the ...

A little thing called pacing goes a long way
I dont have many complaints with this anime other than the fact that the main character is a little to photogenic for a gamer, and that asuna goes from eyy Kirito haven't seen you in like a year to eyy Kirito lets spend our lives in a country cottage with our artificial intelligence kid in a matter of 6 episodes, and the whole fairy arc thing with the weird sister shipping and Mr. kidnapper ...

    Best Anime Ever !!!!
This is the BEST ANIME I WOULD'VE EVER WATCH !!! I can't wait for GGO in April !
I just don't know the exact date. Plz Reply and tell me exact date if you know ! Though Kirito looks like a girl in Gun Gale Online, which is the only thing I don't like.
    EVERYTHING ELSE IT"S GOOD !!!

    Very good really enjoyed it.
The story has been done before about video game players being unable or forced into a game(btoom) and unable to log out or leave until they win the game or survive until someone else does and that's not a bad thing it's a matter of how well it's done and SAO does it very well with likable characters good animation and some well done fight scenes and a good romance and secondary characters. I ...

The First Fourteen Episodes are Amazing
The first fourteen episodes of this show will at times wrench your heart out and at times fill you with joy. Four or five episodes brought tears to my eyes. There are great action sequences, tragic losses, mysteries, and intense drama as we follow the protagonist Kiriko's character progression and budding romance with Asuna. Episode fourteen is the end of the first story arc, and when it ...

    Strong until the second arc
First, let me start off by saying I will be heavily critiquing the later episodes.

I watched this with high expectations, all my friends had hyped it up telling me how great it was. Up until about episode 13, I was enjoying it, thinking it was a great show. However, after it continued toward the end, it felt like it began to change. The action and some other aspects still stayed quite strong, ...

A Good Kickoff for New Anime Watchers
Starts off well, and once you know where the show is coming from, it's more enjoyable than at first glance. The first half could've used more episodes, but that's my opinion.

The animation, especially in the action scenes, is nothing below what I'd expect from A-1 Pictures. I'm personally attached to this show since it served as my gateway to all the anime I watch today.

    Definitely worth a ...

    Entertaining, but not technically good
I have complicated feelings for Sword Art Online. I found it entertaining and mostly fun, but there's also just so much wrong with it...

Before I got into what's wrong with it, I'll talk about its positives. Firstly, A-1's Pictures' animation is impressive, as it always is. It's always appealing to the eye and always seamless. The action is solid-- no shonen-style "talking while fighting/too ...
