    Anticipation for new episodes
SAO was one of the very first anime I ever saw, after I overheard some friends discussing it at school. So, I promptly thought to give it a shot. I soon finished it within a weeks time and as hooked. Completely immersed, obsessed. But within a couple weeks of obsession, I began finding internet leaks about how stupid SAO really was. Of course I didn't believe that SAO was a "stupid, ...

    Sword Art Online II
So this is my first review on an anime, but i would have to say the of all the anime I have watched SAO is one of the greatest. It is action packed, filled with laughter as well as sadness, and gives an new and interesting twist on an previously used plot idea.

    This anime is great.
A lot of people say that sword art online is rubbish, but it really isn't.

I love the whole idea of the game, and how they get trapped inside it, and how they have to finish all 100 levels to complete it.
After Kirito, the main character manages to beat the game after 2 years, his love Asuna is trapped in another game by a vulgar man.
I wasn't so sure about how they made it into another part, ...

    Reasons why I dislike
I will talk truthfully about this show, though I think it is a disaster of a show, it has a few good qualities. These qualities are fantastic characterization.......that's it. It's plot at the beginning is dreadfully unoriginal, with the whole matrix thing going on (die in game and you die in real life). The explanation for why people can't leave SAO is so botched and poorly thought of I found ...

    Over Hyped and Inconsistent.
About as inconsistent and poorly executed as the first season. The only reason it has any merit is because it's the lesser of many evils who have screwed up this genre of people going into an MMO. But just because you're the best doesn't change the fact you still stand on a pile of failure.

Why was there any more after Ep 14
    (spoilers, duh)
My problem with SAO is probably because I was so shellshocked that the first arc of the story was GOOD. Even if the last few episodes took away from the awesome action scenes that many people fell in love with initially he had a pretty solid ending and pretty much was everything I wanted from the anime. Top it off with great music, voice acting, and animation, I was a happy ...

    Season 1 was good, but...
When I started watching Sword Art Online in the first season, I was amazed at how awesome it was. I mean, when the idea of an anime about an MMORPG struck me, it sounded great. And it was great! Awesome action, a good story plot, portrayed elements of MMOs in an anime. And to boot, it threw in a good love story in the middle of it that I could stick with and not say "why is this here? What is the ...

The most questionable direction any series has ever taken
Here is the problem with Sword Art Online:

The first few episodes that set up the world of SAO brace us for a show that will be about the players trapped inside this virutal-reality deathgame, working together to clear the game and see the light of day once again. This environment and plot direction is set up so well that to even entertain the idea of it changing becomes a joke worth laughing ...

Sword Art Online is an amazing piece of work!
This in my opinion is one of the best pieces of work ever done. I love everything about SAO, such as the amazing story, the characters, and the whole concept of the show/series. It will forever be apart of my life. The way love, hatred, anger, happiness and more emotions that are portrayed in this are just phenomenal, I find myself always smiling, sitting on the edge of my seat or tearing up, it ...

2001st 5 star rating. Favorite anime for sure.
Amazing anime, artwork is nothing less than beautiful, which is what i'd expect from SAO. Like the rest of the series it does start slow, but that's whats great bout it, it gives you an intro to the characters(backstories and such) which attach you to them. Once it picks up you'll be anxious for the next episode believe me.
