    The first anime to interest me enough to seek out and read the associated source light novels. Wonderful story & looking forward to more to come from the amazing author of SAO and Accel World Reki Kawahara.

  • Doesn't nearly live up to the hype

    This is one of those instances where I just don't get the hype. It's a workable premise, but they fail to do anything interesting with it. So many missed opportunities with this anime. Pacing is awful, skipping past all of the potentially interesting parts, and characters are mostly unbelievable and uninteresting. Watch .hack instead to see a similar premise done right.

  • The Epitome of MMO Anime

    Many MMO animes focus on the gaming culture and interactions between players in real life vs. in the game. Sword Art Online (SAO) takes this concept to the extreme, and I highly doubt any show will ever surpass if. The first episode is so amazing it breaks all the thumb rules people have for how many episodes you need to watch before you decide if you like it.

    I wish I could forget the second season, its extremely boring and pointless, should have ended when the original villain is beaten. The first part deserves 4 stars, the last part zero.

    This anime is an overatted piece of garbage that does nothing unique. The second season was a terrible way to change the plot, without the fear of death then it makes it less exciting. Oh and inceest.

    Out of all the animes I've ever seen. This is the best anime ever. If your looking for romance, action, heart to heart moments. I suggest this anime to anyone. Yeah your gonna cry here and there, but the ending is just beautiful. I highly recommend this.

    The art style was amazing as well as the fighting sequences but the whole series was a bore for me, repetitive story line, annoying characters and overall my biggest problem was how overpowered Kirito is, this whole series/concept had a lot of potential and could've been better, but it wasn't.

    i loved it when they were in the vid. game. sadly the part where they turn to elves/fairies...lost me. i mean they had changed like KA POW. but still it is an AMAZING ANIME AN MUST WATCH. pssh a little more "mature" stuff in here. and boys ...dont stare at her bra xP

    This anime is one of my personal favorites. I reccomend this to anyone who likes fantasy, midevil stuff. Or anyone who loves RPGs. This anime takes place in a world inside of an RPG.
