If you haven't watched it then your missing out
The story, world, characters, animation and pace are all superb. This anime is perfect for when you just want to lay down and relax. If you have not seen it yet then I hope you have a good reason not too because if you think this anime will let you down it won't.

    Watch it!

Hands down one of the best anime you can watch
Love this anime it reminds me of an old school Final Fantasy rpg with a twist on virtual reality. I just think it is going to become one of the best anime u can watch and has already become one of my favorites right up there with DBZ, Naruto, and Fairy Tail.

    Beautiful Animation and Engaging Characters
Sword Art Online really is a masterpeice. The animation is beautiful and even minor characters have extreme depth to them. This anime has a perfectly paced storyline with many plot twists and surprises it's almost impossible to get bored. SAOs unique plot and circumstances also are great aditions to the many pros this show has to offer. With Action, Romance, Comedy, Sci-Fi and Fantasy its hard not ...

Great Characters, Story, and Artwork = AMAZING Anime!
I started watching this show and got hooked from episode 1.

To me its like a remake on the dot hack story with the risk of death put on all the players, not just 1 (Tsukasa from .Hack)

The story was well developed and played out. The characters are some of the most memorable among various animes, with great emphasis placed on their human characteristics. The artwork and action sequences ...

    The "Ice-breaker" of 2012
Even though the anime is not completed as I write this, I can already see that this anime will be one of the best animes of 2012. The characters, world, game, bosses and everything else is done magnificently and I think this anime has the potential to become a long running anime like Naruto (This depends on how long the light novels will keep going)

Overall, this anime is amazing to look at. ...

Interesting plot, but slows down considerably as you go.
The beginning of this anime is pretty epic.

The problem is that they went from epic to run of the mill anime pretty quickly after a couple of episodes. Its still an interesting anime as the plot itself is awesome, as im myself a fan of MMO games. Too bad the creators decided to concentrate on fluff instead of actual content.

I always like to compare anime with Code Geass. Code Geass has ...

    Best Anime This Season!
Awesome character development, plot and storytelling. I am addicted from episode 1.
Plus many things happen in one episode compared to other anime series going on now like One Piece and Naruto. Saturdays just got more interesting

Interesting and fun if you give 'em some rope...
Sword Art Online (SAO) starts with an interesting premise - what if you had to play an MMORPG like it was real life? But it implements in such a way that requires about a mile of heavy rope hawsers to suspend your disbelief far enough to accept the premise. The players are stuck in the game until they die, and then they die in real life? That just doesn't play: outside factors in the real world ...
