Despite appearances, this is a great show to watch for many reasons!
I would normally have given this a 4 star for some reasons but others helped it overcome to earn a 5 star. First let me explain the few issues I took with this show. The first was how Monkey is just there. There is absolutely nothing - no back story, hints, clues, or whatever - as to how a high school gamer kid came back in time. NOTHING! That's kind of a hard pill they just expect you to ...

    An unexpected twist in history
This remake of the world famous Japanese history during the civil war time is very entertaining and the storyline follows the real historic event that occurred centuries ago. Making this anime a must watch to anyone that played any of the samurai games and to any anime fans out there wanting a new and fresh series to get hooked up to. Simply the bomb.

Well that took me by surprise.
I went into this not expecting to really like it. But boom! One of the best shows I think I've ever seen, I enjoy the whole harem action romancethingy genre and this is that. The action scenes (How ever little of them there actually are) are well done but a tad over the top, the voice actors are very good at voice acting, it looks great and I think we can give a round of applause for that ending ...

Actually goes pretty well with the Light Novel
Now I read 6 vol. out of the 10 vol. of the Light Novel series to get hooked into this. I was really anticipating the whole book in the anime, of course not all of it was there. but I really did enjoy it despite that. I loved the history, reminds of Samurai Warriors and such and of course, being able to replace with a historic figure in history is certainly something and the main character ...

    The Rule 63 of anime
This is anime is a parody the game The Ambition of Oda Nobunaga. The thing that made me laugh the most was the gender swap between the famous warlords/warriors of the Sengoku period except for Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Hanzo Hattori. I really hope they make a second season because of all the warlords/warriors they missed like Yukimura Sanada, Shingen Takeda, Kenshin Uesigi , Date Masamune, ...

    Lovely, Must watch!!
This is a very well done creation; starting of from the fact that I'm "full" with the romantic love story between students, I've found in this anime something new. The interesting and fascinating journey of this guy, coming from the future, and catapulted in the Sengoku era. You can find a good mix of history, adventure, suspense, funniness and yes, a love story xD But anyway, I really ...

An Anime Without a High School Setting?!
I started watching this show because i saw my friend watching it in the middle of class. the only part i saw was the opening and that alone sold me on the idea.

a teenager sent back in time to the warning states era of japan has to survive using his knowledge of the wars from his love of war simulation games of the same time period.

the characters in the show are well done and each major ...

    Very well done and enjoyable.
While initially you are very confused, "How, did he get this time period and why". You quickly forgot those questions and enjoy a touching and action packed story that completes but leaves you wanting so much more.

    Here's hoping for another season.

    Unexpected, but very welcome.
As if it hasn't been stated enough already I found this show to be a hidden gem, sure it's not perfect but I enjoyed it 5/5 all the way. The main character was refreshing, as he was foulable and goofy but could also be serious and tactful due to his game knowledge, and now that he's changed events it's going to be interesting to see where a season 2 will lead him. Although there are "harem-ish" ...
