  • Enjoyable and entertaining watch
Though this anime is nothing too amazing, it is however a one that I came in with very little interest and finished with a sense of enjoyable worth (thats me complementing it, please don't get me wrong). To me, its one of those animes that you watch for some little enjoyment alongside other potentially good/amazing series. The historical setting with a little twist (rule 64) and a decently ...

  • Hyper-romanticized warring states era for 8-year olds
Would not recommend unless you want a specific brand of shounen silliness to go across your screen.
That said, I don't think it's a very faithful interpretation of the light novels, which seem far more mature than this series (though of course still not historically accurate).

  • Well worth watching, nothing ground breaking but very enjoyable
This was a fun twist on loose Japanese history. It has a few harem aspects and a little bit of fanservice but doesn't go crazy with it. Unlike many similar anime the main character isn't a worthless personalityless plot device, he actually pulls his weight nicely. It's a fun watch. A lot of people say that it leaves off on a cliff hangar and isn't complete. In a way they are right, but it's not as ...

  • A "harem"/action with a male lead who's actually not-an-idiot
Bouncing boobplate aside, this show was spectacular. It's exciting, funny, sweet, and needs a second season.

The characters are all gender-swapped figures from Japanese history so if you're rusty on the Sengoku period some of the subtlety will be lost. All of the characters are really adorable AND intense, while Saru manages to be the first male lead in a harem-style anime that is actually ...

  • Comedy, Action, Love, interesting time line=Great series
The series is about an high school boy in Sengoku time period (historical figures are all women), working with Nobuna Oda to unite Japan & find his way back home. If you're an fan of history (alternate), romantic comedy, beautiful animation & action, you come to the right place. The only complain I've with "The Ambition Of Oda Nobuna" series is 12 episodes. I wish it was 14 episodes, but, it ...

  • The Ambition of Oda Nobuna
This show was pretty good for a harem series. It has some action but if that is what you want to see then this series may take a few episodes for that to occur. Oda Nobuna is based off of Ambition of Oda Nobunaga and if you like samurais and somewhat love stories and things like that this is a show for you.

Wonderful Series That Needs More Episodes!
I love the characters, historical references, and artwork. Really hope that there is more to come in the future!!

The variety of humor, action and romance make it a show with something for everyone. Also, it is nice that the main character knows how to "Man" up and isn't a coward.

  • Fun show, though predictable
Naturally, a show which replaces key historical figures in Japan's history with a bunch of kawai girls isn't going to take itself too seriously. That is to say, there is no earth-shattering plot, and there's some nonsense (e.g. "red shirt" characters dying in droves, but life is happy 60 seconds later; or the disjointed personalities of a murderous warlord and an innocent flustered teenage girl ...

  • If only history class was this good!
Though history might not be my favorite class, I love studying it on my own. Thus, a series like this captured my interest immediately. Having fun traveling around and trying to change the fate of humanity = epic. Having equally strong male and female characters = exciting. Having great music and animation = enthralling. Having a decent plot when this could have taken a really bad route as a harem ...

  • Interesting take on Sengoku history
Harem style retelling of the actions in Japanese history that leads up to the end of the sengoku period and the unification of Japan by Oda Nobunaga with his faithful "monkey," Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who was also known in real life as the "bald rat." I'm glad it was a haremy /sexy retelling and not true to history
