Brilliant and Highly Underrated.Dantalian no Shoka took me completely by surprise and warrants an earnest try by everyone who claims to like anime. I was sad when I finished itI quite liked this series. It caught me by surprise. It starts out a bit with the "Power Rangers" formula, but soon breaks pattern and becomes something more original. The animation is quite pretty, and the plot soon picks up and starts to lead somewhere. I enjoyed it, but felt it was cut off a bit abruptly. I only watched the first episode and it already bored me. I'm sorry, but this anime is way too similar to Gosick, BUT does not have all the elements. There is no inner plot. So it's a rather broad analogy, but not too far off. They collect/destroy supernatural books (artifacts) that should not be used by the common man. The character chemistry with the main characters, as well as the minor characters, is great; good pacing considering the storytelling they try to cram in a half hour episode; good animation.
