Loved it and I want more.
The Mystic Archives of Dantalian once again the title drew me in I loved this anime.
The storyline is one I haven't run into yet and it kept me locked to the anime to the end like a good book. (Pardon the pun.)
I loved of the music it had a classical tone that brought me to the time the anime is set.
The characters are nice they're the calm headed slightly mysterious kind I love in anime.
    The ...

A wonderful start to your autumn!
This is an amazing anime that made me intrigued with each episode as each episode gives me unexpected knowledge.
For example, there's this episode talking about a lady (supposedly a doll) that was made able to play music scores composed by Guglielmo Baldini.
i went to search for his name, only to realise that this composer is a hoax included in the 1980 edition of The New Grove Dictionary of ...

    The Mystic Review from Henry
The Mystic Archives of Dantalian (I shall hence forth call it, "Dantalian no Shoka," which happens to the be original title, and I don't want to type such a long title) is a story about a young man, named Hugh Anthony Disward, who receives his grandfather's will and becomes the keeper of a library which houses 900,000 books and 666 phantom books. Huey (Hugh's nick name) goes on a quest to collect ...

    Rushed and Depressing
The anime is episodic. This doesn't work when it's supposed to end at the #12 mark. The end was UNBELIEVABLY rushed and the show, which was good, ended up making me angry I invested the time.

That was the summary. In the title, I mention two things: Rushed and Depressing. Of course, both are accurate descritions but what do I mean exactly?

Rushed: The anime literally went from the two ...

Review of The Mystic Archives of Dantallian!
This anime remind me of Gosick. If you watch that, then you would understand where this anime is coming from.

Huey grandfather died which Huey get word of it, then he leave the war to return home to his mansion to find an mystrious girl who end up forming an bond with him. They join force to return all of the ' Legendary Books' which is not suppose to be read nor be used in the human world. ...

Excellent Anime, very addictive to watch.
In the hopes of finding something cute to watch with a good story line and good animation, I gave Dantalian a chance and was well rewarded. The beginning episodes are cute, and as the story picks up, it leaves you wanting more. The characters are fun, and the animation is great, as is the story. Highly recommended.

Very curious story I've ever seen
I've been watching many Japanese animes but this is a little bit different from other ones. Dantalian is Latain name but Hugh Anthony is, of course, English name and they look like being in England. That's OK, even it sounds a little bit odd. She looks like Victorique of Gosick. The story is very curious.

  • Something Truly Enchanting.
When I first got my Crunchyroll subscription, I came upon this show when I browsing through the listings. I have always been fascinated with the WWI era and the concept of tying this to a mystical library immediately drew me in. The relationship between Hugh and Dalian is such a fine balance to where his calming presence and her (sometimes) childish antics did not where on me as the viewer. I ...

    Waste of a good concept.
This show started off extremely promising but quickly fell apart for me. We are given this extremely cool premise of dangerous books which *must* be found before they fall into the wrong hands and the idea that the protagonist can use those same books to help in that quest... then we're given ten episodes with sloppy pacing and a weird focus on how much the tsundere girl likes bread.

    The main ...

  • Should have gotten another season!
    Man, I love this show.
    LOVE IT.
It should have gotten another season! The art is awesome, I like the style, and the stories are really nifty. I also really enjoyed the interplay between the two main characters, Hugh and Dalian. She's so cute. And stubborn. And he is so tolerant. Anyway, it's a fun 12 episodes. Highly recommended.
