This show just recently got done with its second season and may or may not be over, so I will review it once as if its over and once as if it isn't.

first impression, the pet girl of sakurasou is another comedy/slice of life anime that's there just for fan service, and don't get me wrong it does have all of that, but so so so much more! The basic premise focuses around the relationships and future plans of the students of Sakurasou, a high school dorm known for its outcast problem students and socially strange students. Sorata kanda is the protagonist of the show and pretty much the only "normal" resident of Sakurasou whose life takes a turn for the weird..er when he is put in charge of taking care of a foreign exchange student from England who has absolutely no common sense. She doesn't even know how to dress herself properly, THAT much common sense. You find out later that she is a brilliant painter though. characters like this make for situations that are laugh out loud hilarious, but the same amount of effort is put into character development, the inspirational messages put into the story and the great story itself. This show will keep you hooked with characters that you will love, and sometimes even hate. When I say hate I am really talking about one character in particular that the writers made it really hard to like in the first season of the show, but begin to become more likeable as the show continues on. Another flaw I felt the show had was with the dialogue. The main drive of all the characters is for them to strive towards their future careers and show the achievements and failures that go along with it. What happened was the characters focused so much on there future career plans that it was almost all they'd talk about, it just didn't make them feel like real high school students sometimes. As for the end of this anime, I will do two separate reviews. If season two is in fact the last season and it really is over I would give this show a 4.6/5 due to the fact that some of the love relationships you'd hope to be concluded don't conclude when so much development and progess went into them. If it does continue on and resolves the character relationships ill give it a 4.8/5. Either way this is a fantastic anime and definitely worth your time. Anime like this don't come around every day
