  • Good overall, but slow in the middle
The atmosphere of this first season is not constant. It switches from humorous to serious tones episode to episode. Because of this disconnect, I found it difficult to watch more than 1 or two episodes in a session. The beginning of the season and the end of it are very compelling to watch, but the middle portion may cause some to drop it due to seemingly pointless episodes. Three and a half stars ...

If you're looking for an entertaining, comedy with no happy end you found it
There are 2 seasons of the series, this is the first one ( sequel: TToD-the Sword of uruk )
I had some spare time to chill out on a Sunday night when I found this..... and pals one thing I can say: sooo good that it's surprising
First I didn't have any hopes for this and after watching the first episode I couldn't decide that what's this supposed to be, but trust me, that's just a joke. ...

    Much better than expected
I initially avoided this, as it looked like a fairly generic fantasy adventure. Then somebody recommended it to me, and I watched the first episode and was afraid that this was going to be actually unwatchable. Then they got to the end of that episode, and things started improving quickly.

In some ways it is actually a pretty generic "hero's journey" storyline in a generic fantasy setting. Jil ...

    Cat Ears & Good Tears
It's interesting that other reviews mention the first episode as "great". Starting with a ska music theme song, I wasn't sure what to think. Then came a bizarre, comical episode, I didn't know what to think.

Was this to be a comedy? This caused a lot of problems for the show. Matter of fact I stopped watching it, at first, because of this. I came back months later (after reading that the first ...

    Disappointing after some initial promise
The first episode is crazy, but showed promise that the series writers understood many the cliches and tropes of anime - in the hopes that they would avoid many of them and replace it with original, or at least refreshing storylines... sadly that wasn't the case.

One of the beast fantasy adventure anime out there.
Loved this one, full cast, hilarity and action all great. I really cant nail down why I liked it. It had a wide range of characters all of which where good. I really liked it and I'm failing to remember why, because it was a long time ago when I saw it.

    Could've been great,
An anime based on a classic arcade game of the same name. The main character of this show is Jil, a young man who is far stronger than normal and skilled with a shield. Jil's goal is to reach the top of the vicious tower of druaga and defeat the evil god at the top, as king Gilgamesh had done single-handedly in the past, and become a hero. For the sake of reaching the top of the tower, Jil joins a ...

Gonzo's Best Work: Definitely Worth Watching
At first glance, Tower of Druaga looked like a questionable venture. Translating a top scrolling video game into an anime is risky business full of pitfalls and Gonzo, despite having many good ideas, often fails in the area of execution. However, after watching the entire series, I have to admit that it’s a pretty good show. Compelling characters, a healthy amount of artistic license, a quirky ...

Review en español de The Tower of DRUAGA

Tower of DRUAGA : Aegis of URUK review by Uzumaki-98
    This series was AMAZING :D
It's only 12 episodes (there's two seasons though so , just 24 episodes). If you have nothing else to watch and not alot of time to watch anything, this is perfect for you. I was kindof taking a break from all the popular 100+ shows, and was looking for something good that isn't too long. I just finished Death Note so I wanted something rather funny and had ...
