    Cat Ears & Good Tears
It's interesting that other reviews mention the first episode as "great". Starting with a ska music theme song, I wasn't sure what to think. Then came a bizarre, comical episode, I didn't know what to think.

Was this to be a comedy? This caused a lot of problems for the show. Matter of fact I stopped watching it, at first, because of this. I came back months later (after reading that the first ...

    Much better than expected
I initially avoided this, as it looked like a fairly generic fantasy adventure. Then somebody recommended it to me, and I watched the first episode and was afraid that this was going to be actually unwatchable. Then they got to the end of that episode, and things started improving quickly.

In some ways it is actually a pretty generic "hero's journey" storyline in a generic fantasy setting. Jil ...

    Warning: Awsomness on Tap!!!
The Tower of Druaga is one of the most fun and original Anime series I have ever seen...PERIOD!!! This show makes you feel like you are in a world between a video game and an anime series, so it appeals to viewers on two levels. The characters and plot are complex, but not overly so, and the varying forms of animation keeps the viewers on their toes. With each new episode I found myself wondering ...

So there i was looking through the anime list and found this one, that 1st episode threw me, but by the time i got done with the second i was hooked. The storyline was epic and i am a hardcore gamer and this anime felt like it was bringing me back to my roots of gaming playing zelda and final fantasy, the old ones. lol but ya this anime is more a long anime moive then anything else. the music was ...

    Mission 1: Defeat Druaga
Adapted from fantasy-adventure arcade game, "Tower of Druaga" had became anime series that divided into two season (with 12 episodes each). The first one is "Tower of Druaga - The Aegis of Uruk" and the second season have tittle with "Sword of Uruk".The story used ancient Babylonia kingdom as basic background storyline, that's why the name of 'Uruk, then 'summer of Anu' had many times mentioned. ...

    awesome-o saurus (00)
definitely a sweet series marking a point where you use simple basic out line of a fairytale and juice it up with anime, random moments, love triangle, and answers plenty of 'what ifs' in games which is has soundly logic to the effect. all in all, its awesome-o. stoagy stamp of approval

    Very nice Fantasy-Adventure Anime!
    Storyline:
The story isn't really deep like in other Fantasy-Adventure Animes (like Fullmetal Alchemist for example), but at least does it has a story. And not a bad one at all.
The whole story is mixed with RPG-Elements like forming groups, hunting monsters, classes like mage, archer and so on. And because it is an Anime from a Game (or Sequel) you may think: "Oh no, just another ...

    A very enjoyable anime
The Tower of DRUAGA series is based off of a game, so it will mostly like remind you of your typical MMORPG. (You know, monsters, character classes, rare items, and such). However even though it is based off a game it is a very well made anime. For me, even though it was a short anime, it was very much enjoyable and the episodes seemed longer than they actually are. (I guess due to them ...

  • The Tower of Druaga - A game but not a game that is a game but a show
I'm not sure what I fully remember of watching this show. I forgot to write a review for it back when I finished it in the summer of 2014. For me this show falls into that realm of animes that make you think it's people playing inside of a game. Which is appropriate considering the source material, but for me going into this show dry I thought it was a show on a similar setting as dot.Hack or ...

  • Good overall, but slow in the middle
The atmosphere of this first season is not constant. It switches from humorous to serious tones episode to episode. Because of this disconnect, I found it difficult to watch more than 1 or two episodes in a session. The beginning of the season and the end of it are very compelling to watch, but the middle portion may cause some to drop it due to seemingly pointless episodes. Three and a half stars ...
