  • A Whole Lot of Love...
Questioning the natural occurrence of emotional attachments between conscious beings define the gratification experienced in "Time of Eve". Although early assumptions suggest resemblances to rogue robot thrillers, absence of action sequences separate this series from the sub-genre, reassuring its focus on metaphysical connections.

  • Five Stars for this anime!
This is an amazing anime, I just wish it was longer. It is well told and you get a good grasp of the characters in a short period of time. What I liked about this anime is that its not your typical anime, it has depth. If you are new to watching anime or an otaku, I think you will find this anime to be quite enjoyable. This will stay in my queue for long time.

  • It isn't Asmov, but I think he would be happy with it
I'm still scratching my head over how to feel about this short series set in an Asimov-esque future Japan. On one hand the laws of robotics are clearly Asimov's, and the episodes are paced and feel a lot more like Asimov's work than other (ahem I Robot, cough cough cough cough) attempts at his work in recent times. But on the other hand while Asimov was the quintessential logician constantly ...

  • Not what you think it is
Lots of reviews about this film(?). Time of Eve surpasses the android female/human male standard. This show touches on what it means to be "human". "Eve" has a story that makes the viewer think about discrimination in general. IMO the android subject could be replaced with any current split in any culture. This anime speaks to me on a global level that mankind, as such, just can't get along ...

  • Very thought provoking look at the "when does AI become sentient" question
This is a short, but powerfully written, story. It raises the question of how will we relate to machines that are indistinguishable from humans and are becoming sentient. It looks at this from the political, the mob fear, and the individual level. It heart warmingly shows that the individual, one-on-one relationships are what will matter and make the most difference.

    And the animation is ...

  • Beautiful Animation and Story
A beautifully rendered, touching, if short story regarding the erosion of prejudice when differences are stripped away.

I could say more but too much would give it away and at only 6 acts this would be an easy show to completely spoil with little info.

    Enjoy!

  • Delightfully Intelligent and Charming Mini-series on AI
Time of Eve is a show about the eventual self-awareness of androids (robots that look and think like humans due to advanced artificial intelligence) and their interactions with humans in a small cafe titled the same as the show, Time of Eve .

The show provides a hypothetical explanation of what will eventually happen when AI gets advanced enough that the only way to differentiate ...

  • Short Touching and though inspiring
I am Overwhelmed by teh feels and the complex narative of what might be our furture. I only wished their was more. Beutiful, engaging, courages, inivative, a breath of fresh air in the anime genre. If you enjoyed "her" and the philosphical questions it raised, time of eve is 100x better, deeper, and more broadly thinking, without hte flop ending.

  • Time of Eve reminds me of Blade Runner
If you know Blade Runner then you probably know my age. Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep? was the original story that movie was based on. Basically the movie was about good and bad androids, which are very much like men, who simply want to live.

Do androids think and have feelings? If so, who programmed them that way? If nobody programmed that kind of stuff, how did they acquire them? ...

  • Absolutely Fantastic!!
Even though it's just 6 episodes (and I seriously, SERIOUSLY, hope for more!) the story and character development were absolutely incredible! It really makes you think about those moral boundaries and what really digs home the question, "What do you think about me?" It was absolutely fantastic, I can't stress this enough! I really do hope they make more to this because I want to see what happens ...
