Can't get over how good the music is.
I picked up watching his anime by accident, almost. Just browsing through the catalog and the name stood out. I watched one episode and was hooked.

I feel in love with the characters almost immediately and the music really kept me coming back. The sub stories were all engaging and entertaining, and I like that they almost make you feel like you would do the same thing if you were in the ...

A Dark Horse from a Strong Season
I had gone in on Un-Go early during Fall 2011 due to real life events, and I had never truly gotten around to finishing the series even when it finished. I only just recently have been able to give this series the attention it deserves- and it deserves a lot.

This is a series not unlike those from Studio BONES or on the noitaminA block- you can clearly see it's been made with serious passion ...

    A great anime to watch!
This anime is excellent! Since the first couple episodes were easy to solve, it got me even more hooked! I was surprised that such a good anime came out! Not only is it suspenseful, it is satisfying as well. None of the characters are boring; they have more to them than what is expected, and the music continues to impress. Every week, I can hardly wait for the next episode to come out! This anime ...

Not so defeated detective - Go Un-Go!
Absolutely love the music, esp the end credit song. The characters are well done, both artwork and development - they are not one dimensional. There are enough hints of a complicated past lurking beneath Inga and the "Defeated Detective" to pique one's curiosity. The episodes so far have depicted a post-war police state in the making very effectively, with the tensions among power groups playing ...

  • Not your usual anime
A dystopian future they don't fully explain. A government that covers up just about every truth that's uncovered. But that's okay because we're focused on solving crimes. (I'm not being sarcastic; I like this.) Throw in some supernatural and some AI, and you've got a great detective team.

  • Stylish Detective Anime with Deep Sentiment
I liked Un-go quite a bit. "Stylish" is definitely the first word to come to mind after watching the whole thing - the animation is unique, and the character designs are nice and distinctive, without having to go overboard on color or clothes. Many of the comments on each episode regard how nice the opening and ending themes are - and I agree with these, as I particularly love the jazzy ...

  • There Are Mysteries Everywhere
I've been so lucky - stumbling on all these fantastic mystery series. I now look back and wonder how I could have gone without the mystery genre for so much time.

Characters are great in this show as they are very twisted and deep - it takes the series to even get some of the straight. The music is on par, and the animation is decent. The mysteries are well set up and while it is more of a ...

  • As far as the anime goes
Un-Go (An-Go) is a very interesting murder mystery anime. The characters are quiet developed (although I found the protag a little to deadpan most of the time), the artwrok is beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing. Furthermore, these mysteries are quiet hard to follow and there are so many faints that just when you think you know what happens its like nope wrong. The other caviot are these ...

  • Definitely worth a watch
I found this on a list of good mystery anime, and it certainly lived up to that promise. The art style is lovely, the stories well-written and intriguing, and it all comes together to make a great series. This last sentence is to take me to the required character count.
