A Dark Horse from a Strong Season
I had gone in on Un-Go early during Fall 2011 due to real life events, and I had never truly gotten around to finishing the series even when it finished. I only just recently have been able to give this series the attention it deserves- and it deserves a lot.

This is a series not unlike those from Studio BONES or on the noitaminA block- you can clearly see it's been made with serious passion ...

    A great anime to watch!
This anime is excellent! Since the first couple episodes were easy to solve, it got me even more hooked! I was surprised that such a good anime came out! Not only is it suspenseful, it is satisfying as well. None of the characters are boring; they have more to them than what is expected, and the music continues to impress. Every week, I can hardly wait for the next episode to come out! This anime ...

Not so defeated detective - Go Un-Go!
Absolutely love the music, esp the end credit song. The characters are well done, both artwork and development - they are not one dimensional. There are enough hints of a complicated past lurking beneath Inga and the "Defeated Detective" to pique one's curiosity. The episodes so far have depicted a post-war police state in the making very effectively, with the tensions among power groups playing ...

  • UN-GO anywhere! Sorry for the bad pun
The first scene you get from the series is pretty standard as far as the serious anime types go. Guy lying on the ground, just returns to consciousness and is lying in the middle of some kind of ruin. The first thing he gets to see is a woman sitting on the ground not far from him and then he’s distraught. The next scene is expected to be a flashback or explanation of how he got in that ...

  • I accidentally watched it all in one day
After watching the first episode, I wasn't really sure if I liked it or not. I decided to watch one or two more episodes and decide. by the end of the fourth episode I was hooked, and the next thing I knew I was watching the end credits of the last episode. And wow, it was an amazing journey.

  • kept me interested, good show.
All together this show was very enjoyable and interesting. There were times when it got a little confusing but most shows will have those times. The characters were interesting and the story line was intriguing. I would suggest this for anyone who is looking for a good mystery anime.

  • Mystery, detectives and supernatural elements... I love it!
I really liked the series. It kept me intrested all the way through and I loved how it only got wierder and wierder towards the end (no more spoilers than that). Great characters and a good storyline, not mention that the artists did a great job. I can really recommend this!

  • Quite Convoluted & Fun
There were times I found this show rather confusing, and yet I couldn't stop watching. It wasn't nearly as dark or macabre as I expected, but instead rather uplifting and, at times, almost sweet. And it was clever. Really really clever.

I'm very sad that this series is so short, however. I would've loved to learn a great deal more about Shinjuurou's past, or see more of his cases. However, ...

  • Better than Gosick :D
i was watching gosick and the first arc was very interesting but then it got boring so i was looking for something similar and i found: *un-go*, its a very good anime! it has the super natural stuff and mystery! the cases were well thought out, but rushed. i liked the art and the ending and opening themes songs and soundtrack were awesome. it was better than gosick.

    Impressive, yet short-lived series...
I was a bit skeptical at first about this series, but after watching the first episode, I was hooked and couldn't stop watching. From the characters to the story and even the music, I was impressed to the point that I was sorely disappointed when I reached and watched the last ep. I'm hoping BONES will do us all a solid and deliver a second (and maybe a third?) season of this thought-driven show.
