    Thought provoking, not cliche!
I'll admit that the sound isn't too great and it's not the most visually enticing. And Un-Go did have one thing I really hate - creating suspense through purposeful lack of information. HOWEVER! The way the backstories are presented, the depth of the characters, and the exploration of the abstract in a concrete world was well, well done. It has just the right amount of absurdity and sincerity. ...

  • A great surprise after watching many average shows.
The first episode was a tad confusing because of the lack of information about the main characters and how they were connected (not to mention no back story of the war). However the characters and the story were so interesting I was hooked by the first episode anyways and watched the series in one day. I liked the underlying meaning in the show with the anti-war and the totalitarian government. It ...

  • Scary, but interesting...
It's a tad bit frightening to see what technology during and after war time can do to society, but nonetheless this anime was too good to stop watching.

Can't get over how good the music is.
I picked up watching his anime by accident, almost. Just browsing through the catalog and the name stood out. I watched one episode and was hooked.

I feel in love with the characters almost immediately and the music really kept me coming back. The sub stories were all engaging and entertaining, and I like that they almost make you feel like you would do the same thing if you were in the ...

    Not my favourite randomness
This show was completely random in a very positive way, as well as being very smart. It's not my favourite random show, as it felt like something was lacking, but despite that it was still very good.

  • An Interesting Show Which Exceeded My Expectations
Honestly, when I began watching Un-Go , it was out of boredom. But I couldn't stop after the first episode, because the enigmatic characters drew me in (Inga especially). As the show went on, it was easier to see that the first few loosely-connected episodes did somewhat tie into the main plot, which makes it better than some other detective shows.

I admire how the detective genre, with ...

A Dark Horse from a Strong Season
I had gone in on Un-Go early during Fall 2011 due to real life events, and I had never truly gotten around to finishing the series even when it finished. I only just recently have been able to give this series the attention it deserves- and it deserves a lot.

This is a series not unlike those from Studio BONES or on the noitaminA block- you can clearly see it's been made with serious passion ...

    the mystery of un-go
storyline: i usually find myself sorely dissapointed when i watch mystery shows, or read mystery novels(like sherlock holmes for example. in the book i read i knew who did it in the middle of the begining). i watched un-go almost completely on whim. the first episode intrigued me so much i kept coming back for more. in this series the writers always seem to be thinking of different ways to trick ...

Why I enjoy the anime Un-Go
Before Un-Go, I had never watched a detective anime ever (unless you count the few times Gintama gets serious, which I don't) and had only watched a couple of supernatural shows. However, the description for Un-Go looked interesting, so I decided to try it out. This is what I found:

Storyline: Though I'm not sure of the over-arching storyline of Un-Go, from what I have seen, it proves to be ...
