@Adriana: I was upset as well, But Daikichi understood that his grandfather was her real father, although he's raising her, he respected her decision. Even though she's a child, she still has right to an opinion, It is her name after all.

I felt my heart being crushed a little when Rin said no. This might sound a bit insensitive but she is just a child, I wouldn't have asked her opinion, after all he is raising her. Changing her last name to his should be obvious.
