slice of life in the truest sense of the word
WARNING: as great as this anime series is, do NOT seek out additional information about the story and/or the manga. there is an awfully high chance you will regret it if you do. You have been warned.

PROS: a slice of life anime in the truest sense of the word. very rarely does a show like this come around and tackle such sensitive issues. i watched the entire ...

  • Makes Me Emotional Every Time
NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS STILL IN THE MAKINGS

I've long since retired from writing long reviews, but after finishing this sublime and uplifting series, I was motivated to write another one.

    Premise:

Usagi Drop, or "Bunny Drop" is an adaptation of the josei manga series, which follows main protagonist, Daikichi Kawachi, a 30-year-old man whom, following the death of his ...

  • Excellent Anime, a relief from the usual storylines
I watched this anime because someone recommended it to me, and it was really well done! Some of it reminds me a bit of Miyazaki and how he portrayed children and adults (very few anime's i can say are like Miyazaki, so you can tell I really liked it). So many times while watching this anime I found myself smiling like an idiot. I kinda wanted it to end with Yukari (Kouki's mother) and Daikichi ...

    A ThisWasATriumph original review...

Usagi Drop is a slice-of-life anime about raising kids, when it comes down to it. And you'll probably want one long before it's over. The show is about a thirty year old guy who suddenly finds himself taking care of a little girl by the name of Rin. Just so you know, Rin is the most adorable thing on the planet. The ...

  • Hakamii's Review of Usagi Drop
Raising a child isn't easy, and every parent or guardian knows just how taxing all of the daily tasks can be, the sacrifices that need to be made in terms of work and social life, and the almost constant stream of considerations and worries. The truth is that looking after children is one of the biggest causes of stress and grey hairs (or hair loss), amongst adults, but given that the majority of ...

A really nice and fun show to watch!
If you're a slice of life anime fan, this is a great show for you. It's a really warm, nice and fun show to watch. Animation style is neat. Rin is just adorable. The characters are great. Voice acting is really good... There were a little bit of romance which was a plus for me and ultimately the anime lets you decide.
PS. After you finish this anime, just leave it at it is. The anime ending is ...

    An Absolutely Genius Anime!
This anime is amazing. The characters are so realistic and the art is amazing. The beginning of the episodes always start in a watercolor scheme with artistically simplistic-like drawings, but change into a more detailed anime style after the opening song. The characters were developed in such a way that you couldn't help but care for them as if they were real people. This anime really shows the ...

  • Adorable heartfelt anime
This series will resonate with more adult viewers, although I'm sure some young viewers will also find it to be enjoyable. The soft tone of the art style works well to convey the innocence of the story as well as draw you into the lives of these characters. The child voice actors also did an excellent job of portraying the young characters. This is one slice-of-life anime that you should not pass ...
