Finally, the real story is told.
This is a fantastic retelling of an even more amazing manga. It's intense, funny, heart-warming, interesting and insane. Watch it if you like awesome things. If this quality stays consistent and they stick to canon material, this should be a really fun anime.

Finally, an awesome reboot of a wonderful classic
Short: Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

LONG: So in case you didn't know this is actually a reboot. There was a limited run on Ushio and Tora somewhere around twenty years ago. I suppose you could technically call it an OVA run, some ten episodes that left you wanting more... I remember asking one of the girls at the AD Visions table in the Akon dealers' room many many years ago if ...

Pretty hard to find anime like this nowadays
A classic converted into modern anime, this series is pretty solid. It's very similar to inuyasha which I loved growing up and nurarihyon. A lot of classic themes in the anime are very refreshing!! I highly recommend this series if you liked inuyasha, nurarihyon, shaman king etc!

SOLD! If the the anime is close to the first episode, we have a winner on out hands.
This was a great surprise. Everything I needed to know about the plot, was explained in the first episode. I am tired of watching first episodes, and then still wondering what the ******** the amine is about. I liked everything about it, with the exception of the music. I would describe the music as a retro 70"s techno J-POP. It was an effect that I disliked. I understand why it was done, ...

An Incredible Story to be Told.
Although I'm only three episodes in, I find that this anime is "Refreshing".

It's not often where you have two characters who completely hate each other's guts have to work together and make their world a better place. And boy, does this anime really capitalize on story development. Human and Demon having to work together? Interesting, right? This is definitely an anime you want to dive into, ...

    First Impressions: Old School Cool
*Disclaimer* Not a full review, but my impressions after viewing episode one.

Based on a series from the early 90s, Ushio and Tora looks to be your standard supernatural buddy cop action comedy with a twist. Alright, maybe that's not entirely standard. Here's the high speed synopsis: Ushio, an athletic high school boy who lives in a shrine, discovers a demon trapped the basement. The monster is ...

    Horribly written anime
This anime seemed decent in the first few episodes, but as you watch it more it starts declining, it's the same as when you watch a movie with bad actors. The main caracter's actions and thought process make no sense, the decisions people around him make seem illogical and the story feels like it was written by children.

I'm crap at writing reviews but..
I just had to put one for this watched it all the way up to the current episode and it's really top notch.

It has everything, humor, action, story, dabble of romance, a nice mix of different people and a really good main character and really good supporting characters that all feel like they have their own place within the story rather than being chucked in for the sake of making an extended ...

The best of the Old School
    *Minor Spoilers ahead*

Ushio & Tora is an anime based on a manga that is 25 years old. Despite this, watching it now feels just as fresh as if it were made nowadays. But there are quite a few wrinkles in U&T that put it above the usual shonen manga/anime that have come out since its inception making it an absolute must for any fans of the genre.

The story is about a boy named Ushio who finds ...

    The 80's Back In Action!!
I remember watching the original anime that never got to fully shine, it was such a great show and had a lot of passion behind it. It was one of those anime's that made me want to track down the rest of the story and finish it however I could. I remember reading it where ever I could (even the raw manga). This is one of those rare cases where you get to see anime done right, and fans of the manga ...
