One of the Best "Slice of Life" Animes Around

Oh man, this is one of the greatest series I have ever watched. If you enjoyed Nichijou or Gintama, you will without a doubt love this series. The characters are all wonderful, and each episode has it's own hilarious story. I can't recommend this highly enough.

If your looking for a great slice of life show with just the right amount of comedy, I'd say you may have found your show. The overall plot isn't exactly amazing, but the quirky characters in the show have awesome personalities, and once you get far enough in to understand them. This show really start to absorb your time, as you flip through the episodes wondering whats gonna happen in the next ...

One of my favorite shows, it is just fun!

This is a series that you can pick up any episode at any point and you can enjoy it. The characters are all predictable in a good way. This is just a good time show that is funny with a little bit of romance! I would love to see another season with the romantic side developed more but I can enjoy what there is for what it is as well! It kind of reminds me of school rumble in the sense that there ...

Who Knew Working Could Be So Much Chaotic Fun!?!

Brilliant and Masterful!

This wonderfully done slice of life story shows all the fun in just how many different forms of dys fun ction there can be! The movement in the animation is fantastic though subtle, and the stories will keep you guessing as much as they keep you laughing.

You'll never look at family dining in the same way again.

A slice of life to remember!

I have mixed feelings on the slice of life genre. We can get amazing emotional, funny shows, or we can get cheap fan-service fests. This, definitely, is the amazing kind.

Plot/Setting: Working!! (Or Wagnaria!! to some) is an anime about part time workers at a restaurant, the relationships those workers form, and the hilarity that ensues. Nice and simple, yet a nice change of pace from the usual ...

I have mixed feelings on the slice of life genre. We can get amazing emotional, funny shows, or we can get cheap fan-service fests. This, definitely, is the amazing kind.

Plot/Setting: Working!! (Or Wagnaria!! to some) is an anime about part time workers at a restaurant, the relationships those workers form, and the hilarity that ensues. Nice and simple, yet a nice change of pace from the usual high school setting. The series has a great sense of comedy throughout, and can surprise you with some good emotional feels. However, the emphasis here is mostly comedic ,so don't expect sobbing fits like those Clannad provides.

Characters: The characters are all somewhat unique as opposed what we usually see in the slice of life genre. No tsundere childhood friends, no generic younger sister fetishism (Though there is a younger sister), no traps, etc. While there is a loli, she isn't fetishized by the show, in fact Working!! respects their characters and doesn't resort to panty-shots or anything else of the sort. The characters are all memorable and you really feel attached to them by the end of the series.

Visuals: The visuals are nothing spectacular, but CGI is never used as far as I could tell, and the backgrounds have decent detail put into them.

Music: Aside from the epic OPs and EDs, none of the music stands out, although, it all fits in the relaxed and cheerful vibe that the anime provides.

Overall; This anime is a great example of how a slice of life SHOULD be done. It shouldn't be missed by fans of the genre, or those who just want to relax and have fun with an anime!

It has cute love triangles, constant funny misunderstandings, random musings that spiral an episode in weird directions, it'll put you right in your happy place.

It reminds me a lot of Azumanga Daioh; slightly derpy but loveable, not really cliche, yet somehow covers all the bases variety of characters. Episode one begins with Sota, the ...

It reminds me a lot of Azumanga Daioh; slightly derpy but loveable, not really cliche, yet somehow covers all the bases variety of characters. Episode one begins with Sota, the presumed main character seeing this crazy restaurant through normal eyes... and then you need to leave behind all your assumptions because he's just as silly as everyone else. Every episodic trial can make you laugh or cry a little, but always love them a little more. Light, easy to pick up any time, and really nice animation.

They Serve Food and Laughs

I've never watched an anime that revolved around a certain work places so it's safe to say this is my favorite out of all of them. I definitely would work with these characters though I'm not really sure how much work would actually get done. And with that where is season 3?

The characters are just all so hilarious and lovable i cant help but enjoy every second! I always crack up when Yachiyo walks in with her Katana, and i just laugh every time Inami is even in a scene, because i know some crazy stuffs about to go down. Overall, ...

I love all the characters at Wagnaria. Everyone has interesting quirks and personalities. My only wish is that they continue the show. It will leave you wanting more because there really is not much of a resolution!

Don't let other revues mislead - he is NOT a pedophile... that is a JOKE!
