  • This Just Was Hard To Like
If there was a phrase that would define this series, it would be "pointlessly slow". I get series that take a long time to develop an interesting plot or world, but this series didn't need that. It was just a normal, generic romance. Also, that brings me to the romance, which was pretty lame. The main male character is a really annoying guy, who has a relationship with several people at the same ...

  • Better than I was led to expect
I saw that White Album 2 was highly regarded, so I figured I'd start with the original first. This, despite the warnings that it wasn't as good as WA2. I haven't watched WA2 yet, so obviously I am not trying to compare them.

The great thing about the characters is that they are not thorough cliches. They all have flaws, and many show glimpses of interesting back-story. But with so many ...

  • Great show for any older viewers
The best word that I can use to sum up this show is bittersweet.

Each corse lay flat, lifeless and flat,
Yet another show featuring an uninteresting guy dealing with women who are attracted to him for some unfathomable reason. Usually this is done as comedy but here the laughs are unintentional and the main character veers from attempting to seem unemotional to being a creep. The female characters don't fare much better and after being given short backgrounds are brought out on occasion to spout ...

  • Terrible half, amazing half
Of all the anime i have watched, this is by far one of the ones i put more effort into watching.

The first season was pathetic and the charecters shallow. The plot was all over the place and the MC was only the second i had ever wished for to have a 'nice boat' ending apart from Ito himself.

The seond season is the light at the end of the tunnel that puts everything back into perspective ...

  • Not the worst, but certainly not the best
This series is certainly enjoyable to a point, especially for those who like a good hefty amount of drama. Though for me personally, I don't really care for that sort of thing. I enjoy plots that don't make you grit your teeth or make it so that every moment make your muscles clinch up with the desire to punch through a wall. I can't say this series is bad, in fact I enjoyed myself with certain ...

  • Wonderful, But needs a different ending
This anime really pulled me in like no other anime had. I enjoyed the way that the animation style was slightly different, I enjoyed how there wasn't much background music, it felt like I was just standing in the room watching these peoples lives go by. I enjoyed how it included you in the story by making it so realistic. They didn't over-explain the plot, you had to be interested enough to figure ...

    A True Dramatic Masterpiece..
    My Personal Thoughts:

White Album is truly one of the best anime I've seen in my entire life of anime. I started this series back in 2009 and never finished it because of my young and fragile fourteen year old heart(at the time). Though, 3 days ago I completed it. I've just been so obsessed with the two main heroines, Ogata Rina, and Morikawa Yuki. I listen to their songs over ...

Slow burn and a MC you can't help but want to kick!
The pacing is extremely slow, and at times the story wonders leaving the viewer confused. Likely this is intentional (I am not aware if this is based on any other source media and I will not check) in order to tell this story over the full 26 episodes. In a way this story was to large for 13 and too small for 26. For the last 3-4 episodes the story drags on with no real development.

    As for ...

A Captivating Anime, With A Great Plot
I've read people complain about the pacing of the plot, but I think it goes at a perfect pace. It never gets boring and you want to keep watching even after saying "Just one more episode". The story revolves around a girl named Yuki, who wants to become an idol. Her boyfriend Toya experiences a lot of emotional trouble along the way, due to the challenge of dating an idol. The story is ...
