    What...did I just watch.
I wasn't expecting much from this show, but I was completely blown away by how utterly awful this turned out. I don't like or want to review incomplete series, especially at ep. 1, but my goodness! It's my duty to help keep other, unsuspecting anime fans from having 23 minutes of their precious life robbed from them.

The series is supposed to be about an alternate history where the Meiji ...

The hyper dry vodka martini of Anime: Fill glass with fanservice. Hold everything else...
    Let's see...
+ Third episode's title is inspired...
+/- Lot's of fanservice, if you're into that sort of thing.
    - Few redeeming qualities and nonsensical plot, but that's pretty normal in ecchi anime...
    Conclusion
I don't see why everyone hates this so much. As far as anime goes, this is only the normal sort of bad. Under ordinary circumstances, people would be giving this 4s and 5s ...

What I really think about Dai-Shogun - Great Revolution?
Prepare for spoilers because I am basically going to go on and on about what has been shoved down my throat while I watched this. I'll do my very best to keep vulgarity down.

Let's start off with the story. The story takes place in Japan during the year 1870. This is an alternate version of Japan, because the Meiji Restoration never happened. The foreign black ships that attacked the harbor of ...

    This is....not good.
Punching myself in the face may have yielded a more productive use of 20 minutes. This is seriously one of the greatest abominations in the history of not only anime but television as a whole. The story sucks, the fan service implys that somehow, somewhere, this show actually has a fan base. I hate myself for watching this, so take my advice and don't.

Had to watch it to believe the negative review
Review after first episode? Yes, because it's very unlikely that the second one will end up on my playlist. Why? Well probably because I'm not that much into ecchi and, somehow this anime seems so wrong in a lot of ways: animation isn't very good, the script (at least for the first episode) is FAR from good.
If you'd ask me whether it is watchable or not, I'd say, that it actually is, only I'd ...

Animation so stiff it looks like a motion comic.
The drawings may look alright, but the animation is so stiff it looks like a motion comic most of the time, and they shake the camera around a lot to keep if from looking like a total slideshow at times. A good story and good characters can sometimes make up for these shortcomings, but sadly the story is flimsy, it's and characters don't have much substance.

    A Virgin among Virgins
I know what your thinking haha.. but i would prefer this anime to not be criticized purely for its fan service and low budget animation. From the second episode you will notice a plot being picked up along with an interesting character development from the male protagonist. The plot is very bizarre, focusing on one's virginity as the most significant source of power for controlling the super ...

    It really is that bad
After seeing Nagato-san's review of this show, I expected it to be awful on a level I had not seen before. But my curiosity had been piqued, so I watched the first episode. Could there be anime with production so cheap that it makes JoeCartoon look like Pixar? Would a show really give a plot synopsis and then do something entirely different (and not at all entertaining) with the first ...

One of those animes where you know what you're getting yourself into.
It's rare to find an anime where you know whether it is good or bad from the first few minutes. 2 minutes in and I was speechless by the utter awfulness that is Dai-Shogun- Great Revolution. The only thing good about it is the thumbnail that coerced me to even consider watching it.

well another anime that fell short for 2014 season
well that was a little boring with the art design a little off and the characters very one dimensional i will say this the anime was very confusing at times. the episode explaining where the main character came from was odd makes you think maybe he not the son of shogute also all the girls are in love with him even through they some are supposed to be in love with someone else. at first it was ...
