  • (Interesting) Must be into it kind of stuff
I enjoy the fact that not every episode is particularly linked and that one episode isn't all there is its more like a lot of episodes cut up and put together viewing different times in episodes but of course nothing spoiled. Its deff cut up and put together past - present - future.

  • Mostly good horror anthology with some laughs
On average, usually good. Some are excellent. A few were kind of mediocre, but since they're all short, those aren't a huge waste of time.

As often as not, they're at least partly comedic. The comedy's great, especially if you have a sick sense of humour.

  • Already plan on reading the comics!
The animation is not so good but I absolutely loved the stories, they are a 100% the type of horror I enjoy, quite weird and unsettling.
I also enjoyed the character design, the people looked quite ordinary so it gives a vibe that all of this messed up stuff is happening to someone just like you, which I think adds to the experience.

  • I wish I could rate this four stars...
While many of Junji Ito's stories are classics, he is known much more for his artwork. His usage of shadow is exquisite and helps transform what's already disturbing and unsettling into a true masterpiece of horror. Unfortunately, that just doesn't translate well to anime.

The animation is cheap at some points, shockingly shoddy in others but it functions well enough for the most part. The ...

    I was surprisingly entertained
I went into this anime rare without absorbing the source material. From the other reviews, maybe that was for the best.

I gave this a four, because it took multiple experimental routes to disturbing and spooking the viewer. Also, the art style has a mute, sluggish feel that was reminiscent of a motion comic. Some episodes would probably work better in grayscale, but I ...

  • Very entertaining series
I loved this series. It could go on for ever I would watch them all. This is horror even though it is not taged as such. I like how it is done. thought provoking rather than keep you up at night scary. A lot of people expect horror to be full of suspense and jump scares. I appreciate just how realistic parts of it happen to be. It has a nice balance of realistic and fantasy. The animation style ...

  • Not bad, but not my cup of tea
I'm a fan of horror series, but I'm personally not a fan of the short story style of series. Thats just my personal opinion, but I think the voice acting and the animation was really well-done for this anime. The opening song was also great, I still listen to it.

  • Okay horror with some great episodes
It's a shame that this anime isn't done right. The animation can be really bad in some episodes, but great in others. Some stories can be very cool, but some don't hit home at all. It's too bad, but overall, I'd still recommend watching it if you like horror.

  • Decent but not Fantastic
What makes Junji Ito's work terrifying/uneasy are two things, the extreme grotesque details he puts on his penmanship and after all, he is the master of the page-turner. Personally, the anime is okay and that is all it will be as it does stay loyal to the original content but replicating the art style to anime is almost impossible. There will be some things that only work in manga form than in ...
