    A lamentable informercial so far
I've been playing Shadowverse on and off since 2016, and I was thrilled to hear that an anime came out. I'm also sympathetic to them making the show about the card game, rather than SV's in-game universe: SV borrows heavily from Cygames' other games "Rage of Bahamut" and "Granblue Fantasy," both of which already have in-universe animes. But despite my initial enthusiasm and my strong desire to ...

Depends on what you like in your anime.
(Before you read if you want in a nutshell, then it's just hearthstone but anime hearthstone.) If you enjoy stuff like Yu-Gi-Oh then you should go for it, I personally don't enjoy stuff like this but i enjoy how the characters, setting, art style and so on go well together, but maybe that is just me. You enjoyed Yu-Gi-Oh then you should at least try it

    Do you remember Yugioh
Do you remember in Yugioh when Yugi and Joey could have a quiet duel at their desks without overly dramatic nonsense? This show doesn't, every battle has to start with the intensity of Yugi vs Kaiba no matter how undeserved it is.
Do you remember in Yugioh when Kaiba had to use financial pressure to force a duel with stakes? This show doesn't, any random jerk who wants to bet smartphones on a ...

    Does Not Thirst for Victory
Shadowverse the Game: A ragtag group of unlikely heroes burdened by depression and grief fight to save the people they grow to care about as entire worlds are ravaged to dust by maniacal despots and callous pretender-gods. Get to know and grow attached to a colorful cast of variously broken people and watch as they slowly re-learn how to place their trust in others over the course of several ...

Looks cool, but misses the mark
This show just feels disappointing, it could be so cool but it misses the mark on what an anime about a game/sport is all about. It cuts out lots of the play by play and what moves the characters are making so you never know exactly what is they are doing. The fun of watching a sport/game anime is watching the main character strategise or outplay the opponent, however, this thought process is cut ...

Prime example of a PR Stun-anime.
Shadowverse is truly a PR Stun-Anime. Created and funded with the main purpose of promoting the real video game on mobile by the investment of a few millions (in USD values) has become a standard in video games ever since Worldwide ads started to easily reach that kind of money in the recent years. Not only is it a good way to get some curiosity out of potential customers, but it's also a tool ...

  • A Great Anime but Needs Some Work!
Like everyone is saying this anime is fairly similar to Yu-gi-Oh. The reason why everyone dislikes it is because of that. Right after I had a few episodes left of one of the Yu-hi-Oh series I found this anime honestly I thought it was amazing people may disagree with me but I love this anime it’s great it’s good at adding tension and can give you a good laugh. Another reason why people may dislike ...

  • Yugi-light or expenisve game add?
The show is enjoyable enough if you like card battle type anime, but it suffers from serious problems. If you have never played the online game, good luck understanding what's going on as the show just assumes you know the basic rules. The characters are, for the most part, stock caricatures of existing tropes and the main character is especially generic. That said the animation and voice acting ...

  • This card game anime Sucks!
the main characters no personality other than loving shadowverse and saying shadowverse is great. And the card playing scene... Although I never played shadowverse before, I still know how cardgame animes are suppose to be. At least explain each players move. they just showed us screenshot of the battle. Its like a fightscene without any fighting. I wouldn't be watching this if Sevens is on Hiatus.
