Not for everyone, but worth the time.
12 minutes of MMD robots talking about laughter, nothing different form most Moe shows today, but just half the time per episode. Yet this one has a spark, and when the banter realy gets going you can't help but love the characters, as the show takes it's time for you to get to know the three. The show has no real story until you hit the last episode, and it is surprisingly well done, leaving you ...

    Not really all that great
In all honesty, I found it really boring. Pretty much the whole plot is about three noncombat robots researching about humans who have long been extinct. Instead of them doing the whole adventure thing though, it's more like a stand up comedy routine that's been executed poorly. It made a 13 minute anime feel much much longer.

The animation looks like it was done with MMD, which I don't ...

More good then bad, but leaves it lacking
From the teaser to the webpage before its release, we are led to believe this is a mecha war Anime, with references to every major series, including Macross, Gundam, and Shin Getter. What we get is exactly that... for the title sequence. The rest of the time, it's three robot girls trying to end the war in their own way... by searching for the secret of human laughter. A lot is left ...

WARNING! People who get cross-cultural humor only.
Some people didn't realize that this was a comedy from the title. I'm sorry. I really am. Straight Title Robot Anime is not a poor translation, it is straight man humor, which I got when seeing the title, and so was more pleasantly surprised than several other reviewers. It is funny, and recursively about being funny. The simulator! If you don't get the joke of applying forms of humor to end war, ...

    Rather Cute anime. :)
Having watched this all the way through I found it rather cute. When I first saw this I thought it would be action packed. But no it wasn't, instead it was 3 domestic robots trying to stop the fighting by trying to discover laughter. The ending was pretty sad though. Yes it is 15 minutes but I think that's what makes it good. It doesn't drag anything on too long by having the characters focus ...

    Title's the only thing that's straight. . .
This show starts slowly but ultimately delivers. Three robots--three cute robots--try to discover laughter and end a worldwide robot war. The trouble is that both laughter and the war are relics from a long-extinct humanity, so that neither are well-understood (the robots could probably end the war without an outside catalyst if they at least understood why they were fighting). The humor is ...

Maybe the most meta kind of comedy possible
Despite all appearances, this is actually an extreme meta-comedy. The premise is that humans are all dead and a trio of emotionless moe robots are left to dissect the strange science of "comedy." The joke is that they lack all the basic human social cues that make comedy work, so it's a total ordeal for them to try and explain and understand a gag. They swing, and they miss, they never really get ...

Science Fiction Theater of the Absurd
Three Robots in Search of a Joke. 13 minutes is perfect. Take a look -- you might be in the small minority that will like this peculiar series. Would have been 4 stars had the production values not been so low.

  • Adorable Little Robot Girls Discuss the Framework and Construction of Comedy
Straight Title Robot Anime....is exquisitely unique. While it isn't the best or the funniest anime I've ever seen, it is highly refreshing in its concept, thought and execution. Right off the bat, I will let you know that it is only for those with great patience. However, if you are still interested after watching the first episode, then I think you will find it very rewarding to watch all ...

    BURN IT WITH FIRE!!!
if reboot and excel saga had a love child... this would be the afterbirth. It tries so hard to be funny but if you keep kicking a dead horse, you'll only end up with ikea meatballs. why does this have so many episodes?
